Need some serious help

Okay, I figured out what I want say. You are one of my favorite people here. I think about what you and your wife are going through and you're in my thoughts frequently. So perhaps you can take some comfort that someone out there in etherland genuinely cares. I'm thinking about you and rooting for you and I hope your year with your wife is a quality one.

What they all said. Appreciating you guys! Jim and Margo, you're love for each other is awesome! Sending fresh sweet tropical breezes your way. All the best, Phil

Well, here is an update. We have gotten over the initial shock. Margo is doing pretty good on steroids for the brain swelling and some other meds for now. She (we) has met her Oncologist and radiation Drs. She has had her radiation simulation where they set her up and orientate the machine and she will be treated close to home by top people. The hospital in our city has the latest machines and the radiation Dr goes to the University of Washington on a regular bases to teach on the subject. So in good hands. Lucky there. The actual chemo for this is one pill a day and is usually well tolerated. They can treat any nausea. That and the radiation will start in about 10 day. The radiation machine is very high tech and computer controlled. It can focus the radiation a lot like a magnifying glass with little real damage to healthy tissue. They need time to map everything out and figure it all out and make focusing lenses for the machine. They seem pretty positve the can get her some good time without major side effects. Also they now know that 23% of people have a gene and those people often survive well for 4 or more years. We can hope she has the gene. Anyway we have talked a lot and been honest a lot and a lot of a lots. Anyway we are going to try to work it to be semiretired and live till what ever happens happens. Some things we have to take care of. BUT. We are NOT going to just wait for her to die. Screw that. Margo and Jim

Thanks for the update. Hope all is well, well, as well as can be. Smoke and prayers sent from MI.

Matt

You are blessed with a wonderful lady who thinks of others before herself. I will pray for you both for her speedy recovery and your strength, emotional and physical to carry her through this. You have us here at BF for support as well.

I was thinking about you guys the whole time I was in the shop since I sent that pm.

Thanks for the update Jim.

Please let Margo know you both are in our thoughts.
