Best wishes for your father, and for you and the family. How are you all holding up? Positive thoughts from the Pleasant Valley.

(42 days since the accident)
Hey all,My Dad's been doing a lot better. There's been no infections. He's got a rash on his back, but they've been treating & it's clearing up nicely.
He's got his eyes open & he can shake his head "yes" & "no".He can't talk yet because he still has a traq tube(spelling) in his throat.
I asked him if he knew who I was & he nodded yes. That made me happy.
They're trying to get him into a rehab center.Kessler,It's #2 in the country & #1 on the east coast. We're just trying to get through the red tape of the insurance company now.

We appreciate all the prayers & positive thoughts. Please keep them coming.:)

Thanks

Amazing! Once he gets into rehab, you'll see real progress. After 42 days, his whole body is rundown from lack of exercise, circulation is poor, muscles are slack. Moving around at all will get him alert and healing faster.

Yeah,I can't believe how skinny his arms & legs got in such a short time.I think the hospital's done all it can do.Any further stay there would be detrimental to his recovery IMO.
It's just a matter of getting through the insurance company. They said something along the lines of "He's got open claims & such".I have no knowledge of any of his affairs. He was very secretive about these things.I don't even think his wife knows about them.

JTR, happy to hear he is getting better as the days go on!

Although it might be a tough time for you and your family I wish you and your family a very THANKFUL holiday.

Christopher

Sorry I can't pray for him and I don't smoke, but but I lifted a drink... Hope that counts.

I think all is looking good. You will have allot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving in fact we all do. I will say another prayer for your family especially Dad. God Speed Brother !!

Glad to hear about the good news and progress John, thinkin' of you and your family.

More smoke and prayers from PA.

Good to hear he's getting better and his care is advancing. We'll keep praying for him and you.

Friday we signed Dad into Kessler rehabilitation center in West Orange,NJ.
It's supposed to be the second highest rated in the country & the first highest on the east coast.
I'm so glad he got into this place. What a beautiful facility it is!The difference between this place & the hospital are not even on the same scale.
I have high hopes for him there.

Thanks so much for your continued support!:)
