It sounds like he's coming along. Man, that had to hurt. I think it might a leave mark. All kidding aside, my friend, it sounds like he is going to pull through. I am glad that he is progressing and I will continue to pray. Hang in there, John.

Prayers from the secret underground bunker.

That they are no longer monitoring brain pressure is a major step in the right direction.

And I bet you anything that he's gonna want another motorcycle!

John that is really good news. I sounds like he has made it over the worst.
Please give him our best wishes when you can. We are all pulling for him.

Take care
Steven

Damn
Trent is sad :(
As a motorcycle accident survivor (lost half my blood on the street, wailing mother by by my side, 3 days in ICU), I can say that modern medicine is amazing
I have faith he will be eventually be OK
Mad amounts of smoke sent from The Centennial State....:(

Prayers from Miami. Lost my dad a few weeks ago so I know how worried you and your family must be.

John,

I'm happy to see things moving in a positive direction. Best wishes from eastern Pa.

Jason

Great news John. EVery little bit of improvement is a giant step in the right direction. Continued well wishes and prayers.

(Day 5)
I just got back.He still has the brain pressure monitoring bolt in his head(I don't know why they said they were going to take it out).He didn't wake up yet either.
He is breathing by himself though,so that's a big plus. They said his BP is getting better all the time too.
There wasn't much for them to tell me except, his condition is slowly improving. He does have a touch of pneumonia & a slight fever. They said that's very common. He's on antibiotics for that.
He was moving his arms & legs pretty much when I was talking to him.I think he hears me.
Seems to be a good staff taking care of him. They're very friendly & helpful answering all the questions we had.
I have to go back to work tomorrow.I'll be back to see him Tues. right after I get a couple of root canals that afternoon.I'll check back in here that evening.

Thanks everyone

Great news - more smoke headed y'alls way.

Just came back from some runnin' around on my bike, was thinkin' of your old man and you, keep the faith brother, more smoke and prayers headin' your way from PA.

John, very happy to hear everything is going in a positive direction. Remember, be patient talk to the nurses and MDs, don't let frustration get the better of you. Also, talk to yor dad, I have read multiple articles over the years where it's been documented that it helps a great deal in recovering. Continued prayers, well wishes, and smoke from the desert valley for you and yours.

Well,They took out the brain monitoring bolt last night. They're taking him for another catscan tonight to check out his brain.
His swelling went down considerably. He had ice packs on him when I got there because he had a fever.

There's been no real change in his condition.I have a feeling it's going to take a very long time before we know anything about the extent of his brain damage.

Thanks

John,
More good thoughts and smoke going up to you and yours.
Beth

Hi John -

Prayers from the cornfield for a fellow motorcyclist.

best regards -

I just got back from the hospital. He looks better. His color is back.Swelling's down a lot.
He's moving his arms & legs around a lot more, except for his right arm. There's very little movement there, but he can move it.
He halfway opened his right eye & focused it on me.I was very happy to see that!:)
He's not responding to commands yet though. He's kinda halfway in & out, mostly "out" though I guess. He's running a fever(100-102F) most of the time. They've been putting ice packs on him to keep him cool, plus antibiotics.

He's got a long road to recovery to go.Please keep the smoke, prayers & positive thoughts coming. It means the world to us.

Thank you
