I'd buy the bikini handled knife. Might not like them after I used it, but it would be a strong selling point, as it adds a rather unique quality and look.

The bikini handles look right on that little knife, but it is hard to tell just by looking. The HEST handles aren't all that big and it works well for me. I would guess that for that knife you'd want to keep the carabiner hole.

I AM PUMPED! I will certainly buy the handles no matter if they are bikini or full length, and I like the looks of the bikini. That being said, I would prefer a full length handle. Without feeling it I can't be sure, but I worry that the transition in width from the handle slab to the skeletonized hole would feel a bit weird in hand. No matter, you have definitely sold me on them already just with that picture:D

I really like the look of the small bikini scales!

Like everyone else, I would like to try them out to get a "hands on" feel.

Very nice looking handle, but why not make it full length with hole...not sure how difficult is to make such handle, but that way you get best of both versions. I can make 3d render if you want so you get better idea what it would look like.

The bikini slabs look AMAZING!

It really gives the Izula a classy and sharp look - I think the slabs will wind up selling the izula...

Sign me up :thumbup:

Oh, the RC10 aint bad either :yawn: :D

I like those bikini scales myself. Would making full handle scales with some kind of hollow screwable cylinder (like how a door peephole is installed) for the back end be doable?

EDIT:
And does the handled Izula fit in the stock sheath?

I prefer the look of the bikini slabs, but functionally I have to vote for the full slabs. I think it might defeat the purpose of adding slabs if they aren't gonna be as comfortable as they can be.

Skeletonized = lightweight
Paracord wrapped = survival
Handles = full comfort

I'm with luckykitty. Without being able to feel them out, I'd have to go with the full scales. Reason being I'm afraid that the short scales would make it feel awkward to use. I did notice that when I cord wrapped only the section that would be covered by the "bikini scales" the knife felt shorter and weird. When I wrapped the full length, it felt larger than it was and gave me more leverage. My vote is for the full slabs. However, I trust your judgement, and if you think that it feels fine with the bikini scales, then I'll take your word for it.

I think I have to agree with Dylside. While I really do like the look of the Bikini scales I think I would prefer the comfort of the full slabs. But like Jeff said, the knife would lose a lot of it's character. It's a tough call but I think my vote goes toward the full length scales.

And, just in case you are a visual learner like myself:

I love the bikini :D

WOW!!!!

Bikini is the way to go, I agree with the "Whole", comment, LOL.
It is what makes the knife and makes it very unique and an easy draw.

I like the way it looks and I am sure it would feel good in the hand as well.

Just my personal opinion, but with those handles it would be a nice EDC belt knife as in most states the size of the Izula blade is legal carry.

thanks for the new 10 incher pic, damn that makes me want it even more..... can't wait. As for the handles for the Izula, looks sweet
