the scales look great. would you be able to show a cross section shot to get an idea of the width? they look like canvas?
 
I like the way that the bikini scales look actually...didnt think that I would when I first read the top of the first post before scrolling down on my smartphone.

Thing is, I have huge hands, and never use the hole for anything. The hole is MUCH too small for any of my fingers when it is cordwrapped.

I'd prefer full scales, but I will probably try out whatever you decide.

That one floating around here with the custom full scales is really sharp too. (no pun intended..)
 
I really like the way the bikini scales look. I am concerend a little about the feel, but I would trust your judgement there. I would definitely hate to lose the caribiner hole, so this might be a perfect compromise.
 
The reason we don't make both full and bikini is it adds yet another SKU and we have enough already. The reason we can't do the hole in the Micarta is there would be no support for the Micarta on that thin edge. If we make them full length there will be a screw in the middle of the pommel hole.
 
Not that it's exactly the same, but I have my prototype Izula wrapped in a similar fashion to the scales pictured ,excluding the hole area and it's perfectly comfortable like that IMO.

Don't loose the hole, I use it too often for lanyard applications
 
I like the bikini scales. I'd order them. But feel is the real test of whether they stay long-term. It does feel nice and secure with a good paracord wrap.

The pic posted by rayban looks great but I would prefer to have the use of the lanyard hole. I would probably buy either one but I'd take the bikini over the full grip.

Also, I find it really cool that a company goes straight to their customers and asks what they would like. Definitely makes me want to give you my business.
 
Lets see, Full OR Bikini.. On a sexy little number like an Izula I'd go with a Bikini hands on, I mean, Down..

Looks sweet. I'm thinking I'll have to own a set. Of course I already have mine cord wrapped and I like it that way so DAMN. Have to order up ANOTHER one..

I just hate that...

Seriously, I like the look of the Bikini and if it feels "right" go with that. Save the Hole.
