Negative Feedback

I would say what you charged him for shipping(if you did). It was on his dollar to ship from the USA to Russia correct? I would not think that is your problem as for you shipped to a USA address not to Russia. Just my opinion though.

Shipping was included in the price. I shipped in the CONUS. I used Priority Flat Rate Small Box so it cost $5. I put in my terms CONUS only and he had a CONUS address. I have to now update my terms to say about return shipping.

I don't doubt that he will keep any money sent and the knife. These tactics are exactly why people don't like to ship outside of the US. The few ruin it for the many. Since he cannot be bothered to make an appearance, yet he remains active on other forums...post up his user name and the emails.

Echoing what's already been said, you certainly shouldn't have to pay for shipping back from Russia when you shipped it to the CONUS (and had no indication, I gather, that it was being forwarded on to Russia). I also agree wholeheartedly with what others have said about this starting to smell more and more like extortion/a scam, and less and less like someone attempting to work with you in good faith.

If you decide to do a refund of any kind , make absolutely, positively sure you have the knife in your possession before you issue the refund. Otherwise you will possibly be out both the knife and the refund. I would not even do a partial refund because it could be an extortion tactic. A lot of these folks overseas using freight forwarders ship many items at a time in bulk so you can bet it didn't cost him $60 to ship to Russia as part of a bigger shipment. Paying for his time sets off many alarm bells for me.

Problems like this one are why many of us will not ship to many particular countries overseas like Russia, Indonesia, mainland China, etc. and others where many scams seem to originate from. The only exception I would make to any of these countries is possibly to a forumite with a long proven track record and even then he would have to accept the risk of loss after it leaves the US Postal Service's hands which is the only way I would ship it to any of those countries.

I know this is off topic.... but this is just some useful info to all.....If they don't have any info in there profile i tend to stay away....

Hello All,

I was away for the memorial day weekend. Getting unburied now. I PM'd a "supermod" and I am following his advice. I have my money he has the knife. I am not contacting him and will not deal with him again. If he returns the knife to me I will refund his $ + $5 for CONUS shipping only. I have sent Spark a request to have the feedback removed, but have not heard from him. It does not appear to have impacted any of the selling I have done. I will let everyone know if I get any more data from supermods or the buyer.

-Paul (aka pcb105).
