Ok guys i hate to complain but a guy on here bought a knife off me over two weeks ago it was brand spanking new in the box still in the plastic. Well after he gets it he emails me a couple days later saying his wife is mad and it didnt go over good and he must return it????? Well i ask the mods what do i do they tell me his wife being mad isnt a legitamate reason for return but have him mail it back on his dime and see what he says so i tell him that i dont hear one single peep from him until last night at 5am saying its on its way to me refund his $$$$$ . Ok this is over two weeks later am i not right to be upset??? He also now filed a claim on my paypal saying broken item lol. I called pp and i sent them all the emails and they informed me he would lose but jeez now i have $$ held and this joker to deal with until they clear it up. Its not about the $$$ its about principal now if he would do this too me he would cheat you also just think how would you feel after someone kept your stuff over two weeks and tried this. If im out of line tell me but i feel that this is bull and he is just trying to use the system to cheat me. Thank you for your time and any and all responses.

Your not out of line. If a man buys a knife and uses this as a excuse it is pretty pathetic if you ask me. If you cant afford something don't buy it . You cant put another man out because you cant take care of business in your own house. This man has to come forward and explain himself . Before I add anymore comments I would like to hear the other side.

I am not sure he's trying to cheat you. I had almost the same thing happen but with better communication. My policy as a seller here and on eBay is to do everything I can to protect my rating.

If the knife comes back w/no damages just issue the refund. If it's damaged...that's a different story.

Ratings are important however a couple weeks after the fact is a little long. Plus it is a Auto and sometimes after flipping it a couple hundred times he was bored with it and just wanted to test drive something else.

Trust me hes just trying to use the system in his favor. I have all his emails if anyone wants to see them i will gladly forward them too you. He first asked i ship it overnight so his friends at school can see it then he asked me to call microtech and get him extra pocket clips then i asked his age he tells me he is 40 with emotinal stability off a 18yr old i should have cancelled on him then but i was worried about ratings look where thats got me . A claim on pp lol. I have hundreds of sells on ebay pm me and i will give you my name so you can see my trader rating not 1 bad feedback. Think about it why not send it right back after i tell him too ???? Why keep my item so long???? Why lie on pp saying its broke when i have his emails saying he loves it but his non existent wife is making him return it and he only opened it twice then stored it??? Also i have his emails saying he only opened it twice and left it in his bedroom and he usally doesnt do buisness like this but he wants a refund . Just like marko said he prob wants a ultratech now since he told me that was another choice he had.

I would be upset too, he wasted your time and made a problem between his wife and himself, your problem. I think he owes you for the time and shipping costs that you incurred. I will definitely add him to my ignore list, thanks for the heads up and I am sorry to hear about your hassle.

Thank you kurt if anyone wants to see his reasons and emails just message me. Also i just talked to my post master he said the box most likely will be empty and he is trying too use paypal to screw me over. ( I really dont need this especially with ky in the final four tonight i wish i could have watched the game in peace.

Hopefully that doesn't happen but film opening the box just incase.

This is a crappy situation... Perhaps I missed it, but has he sent the knife out, and did he provide you any proof, like a tracking number ?
Just out of curiosity, is it even legal for him to own an auto knife where he lives ?
I have only owned and sold one auto, but before I shipped it out, I took about ten minutes to research the buyers area to see if it was legal for them to own.

I think we have all bought knives online, only to get it and decide it isn't really what we want. That shouldn't fall back onto the person that originally sold the knife though.
In that case, I will list it for sale. Not try to get the buyer to take it back. They held up their end of the deal. Unless of course, the knife has issues that weren't disclosed..

My heart says to tell him to go FU.............fly a kite, my head says if the knife comes back as shipped to just refund his dough and make certain he NEVER can consummate a deal on any knife forum anywhere, ever again!!

Nah!!!!.....***RANT****
If I was in you position, had all the E-mails to prove he is lying with his claim to paypal I think I would fight it on every level. I am so tired of rolling over and playing the diplomat when some scumbag infant of a man buys a knife and weeks later decides he just does not want it. I sure am no macho, Ninja Mall of a man but I buy knives, toys and gadgets irrespective of my wife's likes and dislikes. In my 38 years of marriage my wife has never demanded I return something I could afford to buy. That's why I have enjoyed 38 years of marriage so far.

This guy's days of buying on the forums are dead. he best never post "I will take it" because as soon as I see it the seller will be getting a PM from me directing him to this thread!!!!!

****RANT off****

Yeah my postmaster says do not open it there holding it while paypal go through our emails and choose a side lol. As if im in highschool waiting on a principal to see who throwed the paper first lol. He gave me a tracking number last night at 5 am after he hadnt responded for over 2 weeks the lady at pp said he was using easter weekend to just get it back hoping i wouldnt be home he didnt even get sig confirmation because he just wanted it too show up and that it. she said they see this all the time. Sad really where i live in rural ky and cant handle knives in person i have gotten knives that i have wished i hadnt bought but im a man and if its as described i just resell it its not the sellers duty to give me a test run. I just bought a adv butcher and i hateeee it way to weird and huge but guess what it was just as described so its mine now.

Have you sent him a link to this thread ?? Would like for him to explain why he thinks this is a legit reason to return a knife.

Thank you wolf. And marco he hasnt responded since 8am that was to tell me i better except the package .

Yes sir, that's how men buy knives!! They buy them based on the photos and description and if they arrives as described the deal is done. Only infants, children, spoiled brats and people who belong on QVC buy a knife, get it as described, hold it two weeks and then LIE in order to return it.

Yup, like you if I get something as described that turns out to be something I just don't like I do not burden the seller with my bad choices..............................

You know what I found funny? When you go to Hildo's profile page, in big letters it says "Hildo has NOT made ANY friends yet"

Pretty obvious why!!!

Have the post office hold it for pickup and open it in the presence of the postmaster.
Jessica at paypal told me basically the same thing she told me to have the post office hold it and as soon as they rule return to sender. Or if they somehow side with him open it in front of the postal employees if that works out like that it will be very sad not just for me but for all the honest traders . Esav if you want i can forward you all his emails if you would like to post his return reason and show the time frame when he messaged me for return. I actually contacted charlie he has the replies and he was the one who suggested i tell him mail it on his dime over 2 weeks ago. I thought it was over after he didnt respond for 2 weeks. Wrong 5am he decides to say it just got mailed and he only opened it twice and it was stored in his bed room and he doesnt usally do buisness like this but he wants a refund.

Depending on where the OP lives he might run into problems with an auto. Here in California you can own one but can't carry it. Also it is illegal to ship into the State unless you're law enforcement. But you can ship within the state. Very confusing.

Wow, the more I read this the more disgusted I am. What ever is going on, you definitely are getting the short end of the stick. Did you know that someone with the handle "hildo" has been on your member profile a couple tof times today? Could it be that he is looking at this thread and watching what's going on?

Just be careful regarding the auto. Did you tell PayPal what item is? And see my caution about opening the package in the PO unless you're in a small town and know the folks. Around here where there is usually 25 people in line--pulling out an auto and firing it off could be problematic.

If you sent it via usps and it is returned this way......isnt this a crime...a felony? Civilians can't send and receive autos through the mail can they? Opening in front of a post master seems like a good idea...except that its an auto and this cant be legal is it?
