New 14 run

Thank you very much r8shell r8shell for the very kind words . The Stag is pretty sweet , but I have a bunch of Stag and only 1 knife that has LICK CREEK on the tang . I feel real good about having a total of 8 First Runs in the 14's . 2 Northfields , 1 Stag , 2 Cripple Creeks , and 1 Lick Creek . Plus 2 of the Very First Run in Ebony and Red Jigged Bone . Many people will have more , but I am OK with what I have and the Lick Creek is # 1 of them . Sorry about an old guy rambling on & on .

Harry
Rambling on is what this place is for. It spares our friends and family from having to hear it. :D

I have the Lick Creek, as well as an ebony spear/pen from 2016. I have a half dozen or so vintage small Jacks by Boker and Kabar too, that are very similar in style. I've read some folks commenting on how small these are, but I believe they used to be a pretty popular size.

I love my Cripple Creek in Elderberry, was wondering if anyone knows why they didn't do matchstriker pulls on these? Possibly just to small?

My guess would be that it was just easier to do the standard pull, but I do personally feel that a match strike pull would look out of place on such a diminutive knife.

Couldn't see this talked about in the thread, but does anyone know how this came to be?
My Antique Yellow 141218 is sporting a loner main blade, borrowed from one of the single blade runs.

Looks like you got yourself a one-off factory goof right there. Super cool really.

I dont think thats an error.

The 218 on the small blade indicates they were using a leftover clip main blade.

Waste is bad!

Neat knife.
Ah so there could be several like that then...or just one! still cool :)

I had thought that there was going to be an Ironwood Cripple Creek. Is that no longer the case? Seems like they have wrapped up the 14s with the Stag Cripple Creeks being the last of the bunch. I haven't seen any pictures or progress pics either.

I honestly don't know why they are keeping that one so secret. No pics or anything. Best for last?

The production schedule lists three of the Cripple Creeks as still unfinished: the stag, the canvas, and the ironwood.

Stag's and Natural Micarta are completed and on sale. just leaving the Ironwood if it happens.

Frank picked out this little beauty - Bless his pea-pickin heart. Thick slabs give this #14 the heft it needs to make it pocket worthy and turn it into a #14.5...Thanks Frank

Does the pea-pickin heart come to play with the non show side :p :D
I’m very selective now when and if I ask someone to pick me a nice one lol .
