They did have good news. They replied to my email, and said that I would be able to call in my order, rather than put it in online. I did so. They're happy to ship slip joint knives to Canada, but their website can't distinguish between that style and modern folders that can "flick". Great customer service on their part.

My short saga ended happily. I have put in an order for a black canvas 14 and I'm very pleased about it.

They were gone in less than 5 minutes.

Mine shipped yesterday glad I wasn't trying to get two sounds like they oversold.
 
Got in on a GP 14, my first 14. Love their SFOs, I have a GP SFO 78 and love it.
 
Have my black canvas on order. Maybe only one or two more that I really "need"

I'm doing a much better job controlling myself than I did with the spear points - I had almost all of the SFOs and ended up selling most of them. I was so determined to get the whole set that I almost commissioned Peter Dinklage to forge a gauntlet for me to harness them.

I overdid it on #14 spearpoints, too. I got all the standard run cover materials, four TC's and one other SFO. Unfortunately, I didn't like the pattern as much as I'd hoped I would, so they don't see as much pocket time as they should. I'm hoping I like it better with the clip point, but I'm going to limit myself a bit more this time. So far all I have on the way is the Dead Skunk. :thumbsup:
 
Had one in my cart within a couple of minutes from notification but ultimately held off. I have four of these already reserved, including Barry's SFO and TCs, so, not yet knowing how I'll like the pattern overall, I decided to pass to give others a chance.

Congrats to those who scored one...I'm sure they'll be great!!
 
I might try to get the single blade 14 in ironwood and pass on the one I like less. Or both. I still think the 14 is going to be too small for my liking. But since I can't get one in hand, I might as well try this way.
 
78 black canvas micarta covers have held up well after 10 months.. congrats to those that got a GP SFO 14 today.

What were these going for on GPKnives? I'm just trying to get an idea what the upcoming releases will be priced at so I can budget accordingly. I know the dead skunks were $85 which seemed a bit high for this pattern and if all the rest are likely to fall in that range I'm going to have to stick to the three I'm after and not bother chasing the others.
