New 14 run

I have a JSR and ToolsForGents coming. The ToolsForGents SFO cost be double that of the JSR. Its exactly what I was after though.

The single spear 14's were $59. 14 TCs were $91. How things have changed. The price of GECs from dealers seems to be climbing, significantly.:eek:
 
My cobblestone jigged bone is taking the long way to my house. Was supposed to be here yesterday thought it would be here today...no out for delivery notice yet...dang.

Don't forget TFG is in Germany. Importing things implies paying custom fees #19%, a VAT applies, 19%, and shipping cost 15€ to USA (#$17.50).
Normally for export you should not pay the VAT. I know some European shop don't apply that, but that's not normal. I reckon European customer services have a lot to learn from most US equivalents.
I know that it's no relief to you, but old French knives sold in Germany are nearly twice the price.
All this to say that OD green micarta is surely nice, but I'd prefer some fancier micarta on their 14 (why never blue?). ;)
 
I’ve spoken at some length to German GEC enthusiasts that have bought things from me on the exchange or down the bay. Getting a GEC to Germany is nearly dissuadingly expensive! :eek:

$59 was for the regular run. These are SFOs and those always cost more than the regular run knives. Wait for the regular run clip points start appearing before comparing costs to the last run.

same, mine is currently lost in ohio still according to usps

Ooh, yep you are right. The sfos I purchased from the spear runs were Oily cr bone $74, and blk canvas $69, and Rbb 2 bld was $89ish. Still 15-20% less.
What about the 14 TCs? Think they will be $90?:eek:

I only have my own experience as a frame of reference, but it appears USPS is lax on delivery updates during the weekend (?). Next thing I know, it is updated as "delivered" on Monday.

Hope y'all's show up soon!

i hope so too. I emailed jsr just in case, but the tracking no says rerouted due to error in zip code or label o_O:rolleyes: wonder how long itll be lost for. on the bright side, my circle A sfo shipped!

This isn’t the place to talk about prices, but my cobblestone bone, which I believe came from the same dealer as your Oily Creek, was $75. A $1 price increase in 2years.

I’m not going to speculate on the price of the TCs. Let’s wait and see.
