New 14 run

I really wish they had done a batch in Nifebrite again.
You and me both. I've tried a couple of the two bladed Nifebrites from recent runs but just didn't care for them. A single-bladed #14 clip point with Nifebrite would be perfect.

I guess my cobblestone will be here Monday...the wait will make it that much more awesome! Hope you all are enjoying them. Anyone get a patina going yet?!

I would guess, and this is only a guess mind you, the labels will be different only if the dealers provide their own art work.

nice, looks like hurricane florence has not affected business!

Interesting observation, Jack. I hadn't even considered that. I had to look it up after I read your post and it looks like Frank is on the far western edge of NC just over the Tennessee border. I never bothered to look up his location until now. Hope all is well in his neck of the woods.

Shipping, and they are charging a premium for it at $122USD. Not quite double, but was $200CDN to get it.

You might try and notify them well in advance next time. I think they are trying to work out a strategy such that the knives don't have to go to Germany and back for those North America buyers - that would save a lot of the red tape money...

:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
The single spear 14's were $59. 14 TCs were $91. How things have changed. The price of GECs from dealers seems to be climbing, significantly.:eek:

I didn't realize they had taken such a jump; but jigged bone dealer cost has jumped 20% (end pricing was $59.44 to $63.97 in 2016). Dealers tend to charge a little more for SFO's, but the factory does not. For example, on the red sawcut, I added my shipping costs into the selling price of the knife whereas I do not on general production. But we shipped USPS Priority on these and on a $55 - $75 knife, $7 shipping sends most of the profit to the USPS.

I contacted TFG on Instagram about their SFO and can corroborate what Mike's saying here about their efforts to work out a way to keep US buyers from paying the extra time and money for their knives. I don't know if it will get worked out for this run, though. We'll see.

Well, I was traveling when I got the notice from CK that my reserved Red Cut was available for purchase. No problem, I’ll take care of it when I get to where I’m staying, until I had such poor service I couldn’t connect to a smoke signal. But I have a couple of 2 blades on reserve and I’m really looking forward to those. I’m a multi-blade person anyway so I’m quite sure I’ll be somewhere when they come out.....I hopeo_O

You didn’t have access to a telephone? Yikes!

I talked to TFG yesterday. They said they will be shipping US orders from GEC directly. The other orders will be going to Germany, and then shipping from there. I asked about Canada, and they weren't sure. I am pretty sure my 14 will be travelling around the world.....
