New 14 run

Anybody score one of the red jigged bone Tidioutes today?
I did! I think it was you that mentioned KSF had them in. I believe it must have been the last one as when I refreshed the page they were gone. I just received notice, that it has shipped.:D I know its not a cool SFO model but I'm more than pleased to have a red jigged bone Tidioute :p

My new 14 made it to my mailbox this morning. What a beaut.

Thank you @MJ71 for passing this fine yellow bone to me in true porch fashion … zero dollars profit. Actually think you lost a few dollars due to the funds exchange fee even using gift. To try and show the yellow as accurate as possible, included part of a "Color Checker" certified gray on the right edge. If you aren't seeing those grays as gray, you might try adjusting your monitor.

The thinner blades cut with GEC's new CNC machine are really nice. Some of the shields on this run of 14s look too big. I believe that is partially an optical illusion created by having less bone to work with. Not only because 14s are smaller, but they have three domed pins plus the center pin holding the backspring. If there were only two domed pins, (remove the center domed pin) it would allow more bone to show and save the cost of a couple of domed pins per knife. Glad the long pull doesn't extend into the tang, IMO that was a mistake on the previous run of 15s that wasn't caught before production. Doesn't change function, but this looks much better. Some dark patina will make this yellow bone look great! Used semi sunlight to capture the yellow as best as I could resulting in some blue sky reflections.

Was hoping to get my yellow bone today but go the dreaded "In transit to next facility notification instead. Hopefully tomorrow. You guys are making me jealous! Beautiful knives.

I was thinking that the red bone Tidioutes might hang around a bit on dealer sites but guess that is not the case. I was really hoping to score one of these as I find them to be the cream of the crop.

I wonder if it is the dealers who are not doing an SFO that will share on the standard 14s?

Of all the ones I've seen so far, I think the Cobblestones are my favorites.
I should be getting Barry's (my only one from this run) tomorrow... I hope.

JohnDF JohnDF isn’t it funny how that works out?!?!

On the recent 78 run I bought 2, never could decide which cover I liked, and ended up selling both.

I wanted the natural linen SFO because of the covers and shield but never got one.
