I used the 'mad' emoji not for your post but for the knife. I would have paid the exorbitant price of the 50th anniversary if it didn't have the 'billboard lettering'. It just doesn't look good on a small blade. I don't like it on a larger one but it's sort of OK.

I shouldn't complain too loudly. I'd already done the math for the discount through Mr. Oden. Anyway you slice it, those 110's are tempting.

It would be a GREAT compromise if Buck would laser etch LE23 on or near the blade stamp. The billboard lettering looks so cheap, like it should be a sticker you peel off.Send it back. Probably has 'billboard lettering' announcing special edition.

Agreed the billboarding ruins the look of the knives, anyone who knows will know, and if they have to be told they likely wont really care.
I'm probably not the only one looking forward to some photos of these.I tried to resist the 532…. And failed.
Sorry to mention pricing, but the BCCI pricing is actually pretty reasonable on the Legacy knives. I’ve gotta wonder if it’s intentional though…

normally they don't let those go for any discounts. was surprised they let any discount be applied. maybe to get some good reviews and drive some more sales or some marketing reasons? who knows....And the BCCI pricing party on Legacy knives appears to be over.

Knowing the ability to order thru Larry, I don't know why they bother not doing it.
I sorta thought something was up with it all myself. As you said, "they don't typically do it on Limiteds"
However I spent a bunch of money I would have never spent otherwise.
