Looks like mr. Russell brought to life another one of his own designs

A (fairly) large lockback barlow knife. I expect from the same factory in China that produces the (Excellent) texas rangers, gunstock lockback, sowbelly trapper etc.

What do you guys think about this one?

I'm in. If it is the same fit and finish as the "Curved Regular Jack" wharncliffe I bought a couple of months ago, it will be a hands down winner.

The fit, finish, finish and walk and talk on that knife are as good as it gets.

Great price on the new one, too.

Robert

I like the looks of these also, although I really wish that AG would make more knives in the 2.75 up 3.25 inch size.

Chris.

Saw that one in a mailing...thought about it and tossed the flyer...stupid me:o now I'm gonna have to get one:D
If its anything like the Rancher, or 2 blade Sowbelly, it's worth way more than the asking price!

This one looks great. The Zulu spear point and the size of the knife overall sold me. His latest designs are really grabbing my attention. I had to order one, just now.

I like it too. Especially the yeller one.

Anybody notice that he opened the blade with one hand? Looks like there is only a long pull. No thumbstud or hole. Was the knife designed for one hand opening or is this guy just good?

I can do the same thing with the Sowbelly from AGR, so I'd bet on it being the knife

I like it, but getting kinda tired of those same three handle material types. Time to try something new.

Was going to say virtually the same thing, but you did it for me...thanks :D

Along with Curved Regular Jack, I've picked up the Gunstock and Sowbelly Trapper. The f&f on all has been outstanding for the price.

Put in an order yesterday for Barlows in Cocobolo and Ebony Rucarta and I doubt I will disappointed when they show up.

I am excited does anyone know when they will be available

I was told mid June.

I ordered by phone, couldn't figure out how to get the CC price to work on the web site.:o

I've still got the flyer if you need the item #(s) just pm me and I'll send them.

There's only one thing I can say I don't care for at first sight but it stands out a fair bit - the lanyard hole. It just looks odd and out of place to me. Seems a bit crowded with the pin right next to it. Won't affect the function of the knife at all though, just an aesthetic issue.

I'm a big fan of the AGR Traditional-like folders made in China. I have all the Texas Rangers and most of the others and everyone is an absolute marvel of superior design and technical perfection.
This Barlow looks like another 100% winner. I would like to see it issued in a regular Traditional format: i.e. no lock back, just a regular slipjoint.
I hope Mr. Russell reads this and gives it some thought.

Me like.

I am going to have to have 1 or 2 of these, maybe all 3 handles. I did not see them listed on the web site, currently.

Thanks

Calemerson

Looks great.

I have the large Cowboy (sodbuster) in black micarta. Pretty darned impressive for the price.

I would love to see this same design with a two blade design. Non locking or locking main, and slip joint secondary.

I would also like to see the pattern with saw cut handle scales too.

I like it, but what can I cay I'm a sucker for traditional lockbacks in general. But in all seriousness if QC lives up to my expectations of all things AG Russel I wouldn't mind adding one to the EDC rotation, also I'd love it a great deal more if they decided to offer it in their awesome Rucarta.
