New Becker prices!

Hmmm...I was really hoping the Tweeners would be closer to $50.

Me too. But you are getting the new coating, lazered logo, two sets of scales and what seems to be an upgraded sheath.

I feel the sting of the investment will go away once I open that box.

Yeah, I'll still get them, but maybe not all at once. Maybe it's a mental block, but $50 a pop seems like "candy" and ~$70 with shipping, I feel like I should just grab a Machax or BK9 to get better value for my money.

I have to buy the first 5 things on that page.:) I'm happy to see these prices. That's not bad at all, especially for what you're getting. Kind of disappointed the Machax is coming with that nylon pouch sheath. I think I'd rather have something else. Same with the Tweeners, but oh well. Sheaths don't make a knife.

Nice find.

I too was expected the retail prices to be a bit lower, but it's not that much more. You really are getting the second set of scales (~$10-12?) plus what seems like a much better sheath when compared to a BK7, which is about the same price.

Oh, and I'm sure shipping will be less if you just get them all

AWESOME!!!

That is a bargain guys. If another brand was selling these they would be $30+ more.

So am I correct that the machax has shipped to vendors and will go on sale on the first or are they shipping the first? I wish tomars allowed preordering

sorry but that ain't true. most companies that come to my mind at least offer micarta when they demand ~ 95$ (and in case of the esee 4 with perfectly made kydex sheaths). i think 65$ is still reasonable but certainly not a bargain.
and about the 2 sets of handles: most people won't need 2 sets...at least i would have been fine with one set and a price of about 59$!

ESEE 4 comes in at over $100 with sheath or a little bit under $100 if you get it at the forest.

Thats with micarta, I am sure when kabar comes out with micarta they will be around $30... therefore we are back at the same as its always been between the two companies (think BK2 vs ESEE 5).

That and whose demanding?

I am excited about the Machax pricing. That'll be a no-brainer for me, as soon as I find a place to order it.

you can get the esee 4 for around 83 bucks.

to me the becker is not a bargain...still i like it and i will get one. but imo your statement was wrong. that's all there is to it.

I kind of surprised to see that the price of the BK15 is the same as the BK16 and 17. I thought that it was going to cost a bit more because of additional grinds and its slightly larger size.

So basically they cost what a BK2 does. So I would say it is "reasonable" and "understandable" but not "cheap" or "economical".

I was hoping for between MK1 and BK2 territory (~$55), but this isn't "that" far off, and it does come with extra handles, so its not a total wash.

Thanks for posting the link.

First on my list is the BK16. Like the others as well.

The price isn't a shock and am pleased at the range they are in.

Anyone else click on any of the blades there at tomars?

In the description it says the additonal set of handles that come with them are "green"...

Much better pricing than what was listed in another thread.

I didn't expect them to be cheap but was sorely shocked when I saw $100+ in the other thread.

Tomars is usually around Amazon pricing. So I'm all good.
