I think it might be a pin in the pommel like the other kabars????? I don't know just thinking.

The tang goes all the way through the handle, past the grommet hole. It is secured to the handle by the grommet.

Sounds like you could possibly drill out the grommet at the end of the handle and remove the blade. You would have to use some tube stock and re-grommet.

Take pics if you do it!

Some nice micarta would looks pretty damn sweet IMO....
 
I just got a couple Condor knives in the mail today. Later I'll do a review of them and post pix of them next to a BK2 and a Mora.
 
Cleaned up the Norlund axe head I have. Cleaned up okay, but sure is pitted. Only before shot I have:

Can anyone recommend to me a smallish backpack with MOLLE webbing? I want it for my EDC/medium BOB. I have a sling bag, a cheap knock off of the Max Lunada. I like it okay, but it sure is stuffed, not to mention not overly comfortable, and a little bit too small.. Thanks.

I went to the store they had a guy doing paper wheel knife sharpening he sharpened my BK 11 I am impressed.
