it's not mil-spec grade, but it seems decent enough to meet my hiking/camping needs.

It is german, and there is no date on it. Look for something like 1893 or so, I've seen a few bibles from that time and I think even one that had a cover pretty similar to this. The term "Biblia" is also out of use since the late 19th century. It could be a remake, but I've never heard of remakes of old bibles. The main thing for me is the fraktura font, this has been out of use for about a century now. Most people in Germany can't even read this anymore, or only very slow.

Even if it is a remake, it's a good one, and worth keeping if you're religious. It's probably also worth keeping if you aren't :D
