Nick you dummy. I think the old man was driving at a trade of sorts, since he has done some amazing choil work, and you do leather work. Put those two pieces together.

around these parts (and probably others), you can get a sexual conviction for say, streaking, [drunken] peeing on a building, and a host of other STUPID things. the minor conviction can happen with people who are also legally adults (18 and 19, that's still teen, but it looks bad)... there are host of trumped up BS you can get slapped with (including slapping) that will not go away. endangering a child? well, if a welfare worker decides that feeding your kid last week at McDees was not safe, bam, charges.

this is not to discount actual, serious charges made by truly sick people (or at least people with really bad judgement)... but a lot of the charges out there are imho bogus. i have a slight problem with the way prosecutors invent about 99 charges for something straight-forward and hope some of them stick. i blame lawyers too ;)

but yes, google everyone. some people ARE scary.

that would be awesome, but given how kydex is handmade typically, mass producing them as fast as they can slap out a blade doesn't seem realistic. we can dream though.

also, they'd have to charge a bit of money for that over the sheaths they already sell.

then you get the guys that HATE kydex, or have to have some other kind of sheath for their job (military). as many have said, including most recently our esteemed Mr Ritter, paraphrasing... there is no one true sheath for everyone. at Becker prices, what you're getting is way beyond merely "something to ship the knife in". hell-o, as often pointed out too, there are many production and custom knives that cost $$$, where the sheaths are not only optional, they cost more than several Becker knives in many cases to obtain.

those SOG sheaths aren't too shabby. would prefer the old style Eagle sheaths though - flocked liners? oh man. i don't think we'l ever see their like again in a production knife. heck, those sheaths sometimes command prices beyond that of some knives now ;D if they made them new? i don't even want to think about it... like $75-100? they're far better than the SpecOps ones for sure.

100 percent agree with this. Taking a leak in public get you sex offender status, from that point on your pretty well demonized.

A contest/giveaway will come, but It'll have to wait until October, because then I'll have my first wage and the funds to get something cool.
