Its not unusual, but it also not supposed to mar the blade coating either. Ususally, it mars the knife around the lock.

omfg I got my trail hawk sheath and collar from Goose yesterday and they're so awesome that I want to explode.

cant wait for my bk11 sheath from goose to get here. did he emal you when it shipped or did it just show up? ive been camping by the mailbox since early october :D

Frequent and excellent communication. My order took I think 4 weeks from payment to delivery, just like it says on his site, so make sure you adjust your expectations accordingly.
 
oh, and damn people... been looking for a guyot bottle - those 38 ounce "backpacker" models.

nobody has them. bwah!

the gently curved model seems to be available though, but the price, oiy (esp given they are made in china, cheese)

okay, fine. will keep looking.

like that handle grip option i've seen though.

hey, you should check out those nice old CMI stainless steel mugs that everyone seems to be copying now :) heh.

while you're on the net, google "nalgene oasis" - ooh, look familiar ??? :)

The backpacker is the slightly tapered 32oz version. The standard is the 38oz version, but I wasn't able to find any in stock anywhere. From what I have been told, they stopped production on all of their products until they get the Gription sorted out. At this point though, I honestly don't see them getting it squared away, and look for them to shut down production on everything. Shame, they have made some really nice things.

The Warrior has a standard bottle that he won from Snakedoc way back. He might be tempted to part ways with it for the right price...

Klean Kanteen has a similar sized bottle that holds 40 ounces, but has a narrower mouth.

Also, Klean Kanteen caps fit perfectly on the Beckerhead bottles.
