HOLY CRAP. I cant stop cutting stuff and resharpening my bk11. After studying those Fisk sharpening vids im a freaking pro. not as good as him of course by hot damn can i make em REAL sharp. Heres a shot of my setup. 8" double sided waterstone (i use wd40 on it not water) 250/1000 and double sided bark river strop with black and green compound. Complete with antislip piece of material (thanks to Mr. Fisk for the idea), i cut it big enough that i can wrap the strop and stone up into it for convenient moving and storage.

I'm outta here for a few days. All packed up and gone to LBL with my son and one of his army buddies for some backwoods camping. Horrible weather (just what we wanted) so should be fun. We'll be doing some knife comparisons and I'll post some pics when we get back. See you guys later.

uploaded a lot of pictures... 133 from the camera.

untold gigabytes on the video camera. have to convert. will try my hand at editing. video is not my specialty yet. averageidahoguy's videos are pretty fly :)

cool - videos off camera in .MTS format

mostly another view of the chopping contest, esp with some tight shots of the chopping V for technique critique. Brian MURDERED that 2x4 with the CASE.

the midnite convo about tasers, well, i'm not sure THAT is fit for public viewing...

next step: create some youtube channels to cultivate the experience... best part, short video clips off this camera upload directly, without further work. SWEET.

now, to find MORE TIME :)

also: reviewing pictures. there's a bunch of good stuff. crowd shots. knives. dogs.

some high-rez of the scorpions would've happened, but SOMEONE threw them out ;) or ate them. :)

Sweet, I was telling someone about that today, she had a blast! Yeah, beatles are to liquid filled. Scorpions, grasshoppers and crickets are ok.
