NEW Benchmade 7505-131 and 7505-132

Good Catch =)

I have noted several typos in BM descriptions on their web site and emailed them about two so far. Both have been corrected so if you spot an error then let them know. After all accurate knife specs are needed both now and by future collectors in order to differentiate genuine items from questionable copies.

Underwhelmed by the blocky handles, the cheesy DA opening and another frame lock.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I dislike frame-locks, autos, and that knife is an ergonomic nightmare.. Try going from a 940 to that knife lol I went through my large knife phase, try not to follow hype anymore - stick to the classics and save your dough

I really like the design and body lines and materials used. If they decide to make one in full manual I will certainly get some since Auto knives are pretty useless since my state deems them illegal to carry :(

Make it full manual then maybe. I never liked the clip or tip down only on the 755 and it looks like those features carried over here. So I guess I will probably pass.

Its the knife we all wanted, at the price we didn't. Is the cheaper version a satin finish? I would've really preferred a stonewash on the "user" version. This is a very polarizing knife and the dual-action auto feature doesn't really win me over.

Man, what a pickle. I really like Sibert's designs, but really wanted a blue/black class version. I think BM should really do away with Gold class in general as every Benchmade I have ever held has great ergo's and screams to be used, not safely locked away. BM has made leaps and bounds in the past couple years with the Triage, Adamas, Contego, 300 Axis, and that absolutely amazing Limited Mini-Onslaught with the Carbon Fiber and Blue Anodizing.

I may handle the G-10 version, and get one if I like it, but this knife deserves a blue/black designation, along with a proper blue/black price tag.

I would honestly pick the -132 up if it was manual.. auto/axis-assist is a deal breaker for me.. I always would prefer axis over frame lock, but that's not a huge deal.. Just tough to find parts if the frame ever gets too used and abused..

Regarding Gold Class, I *use all my Gold Class and plan on keeping them in the family, I will never sell.. I think they should have made the -131/-132 into blue/black class first however. So I have to agree with you on that. The Golds are a tradition with BM.

WHAT'S UP Tiny? I was out Livermore way this past weekend! Nice to see you over here. Now; these knives are beautiful, but the GC version is, what $1200 and the "Limited Unlimited" is $600 (MSRP) which puts these not only out of reach, but being D/A's I couldn't carry either one here in Cali.

I challenge Benchmade to come up with something(s) new for us mere mortals this year and not sit on past glory with such an unteresting offering. For so many just finding out about the knives it's not good press and there are other makers already bypasssing this with inventive and interesting stuff. Enough with assisted Axis already, go back to the roots of it and PLEASE come up with something affordable. There's my $.02.

Very well said!

I'm also hoping to see some new offering's from BM this year. I think they hit the mark and in a big way last year with the Adamas and Contego. Standout's for sure.

I have to say, as much as I like BM the 2013 line up really didn't do much for me and although "very nice" these two are not within reach.

I'd really like to see something new in the Blue or Black class going forward or, if you are going to go back to past glory there's no shortage of AFCK, TSEK, Skirmish, Rukus and Ares lovers out there, (just to name a few) that would love to see the return of these models, perhaps updated and with new or better steels.

Just my .2 cents.

Yes please

I loves my MPR from benchmade. it was an awesome knife. and honestly i have to say, it was probably the smoothest production knife i have ever had. i sold it about a month after getting it because i prefer a 3.5 - 4 inch edc blade. if they make a 7505 in black class it will be mine tho :) im so excited to hopefully get on of these guys.

I used to spend a lot of time in Livermore, on my way to work in Castro Valley. Had to leave the rat race, go to a fully auto legal state and relax. Knife rights put it to several states this year legalizing autos, and even got preemption in I believe four. With enough funding they may just repeal the country.

I see the "cheaper" of the two above joining my collection soon.

Walnut Creek is nice by the way. I almost moved there.

Both are very nice.
Only improvement I would have made was tip up & carry the bolster releas line caried over onto the lock side.
Other than that, for me they are must haves. The new clip design also carries better than the mini.

Love the 755

VERY interested in the 7505

Where to find @ hopefully a better price point.

Finally Bechmade comes up with a new design that I like. But the price is... that is mid-tech territory.
Did you actually watch and more importantly listen to what was said in the video? The knife is basically a mid tech. Te hints were, hand finishing, attention to detail, etc.

Yeah, it's pretty much a mid tech IMHO.
I was thinking the same.

I have a question: what exactly does the term 'mid-tech' mean? I've never heard of it. (Middle of the road? Not great but not bad?)
