Hey guys!

Take a look at the oficial Benchmade site

www.benchmade.com

A bunch of cool new knives are in! And for the ones who like the controversy, there's a lot with round holes :o

(The Lum is sweeeeeeeeeet)

BETO

====================
Sorry for my english :o

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the Lum...I actually like it more than the ZDP one Spyderco has planned, thanks to the G10...

Oh man! I should never have joined this forum. Since joining I have purchased four knives and now that Ally is calling my name. Will it be available in Plain Edge? Thanks again for letting us know!

Man, just had a look, absolutely nothing I want. Too many red class and/or liner locks, and they are now overdoing it with the round hole-which is even worse since it's too small on most of the models. Gimmicks like AO or an extending tail fin (with a SOG bowie blade ) don't do it for me.

Those Lums so look very nice. Wish they were axis locks, but still very nice.

About the round hole controversy, last I heard Spyderco and Benchmade had come to a mutual agreement about BM using them.

Reintroducing the TSEK/AFCK with round holes would be great!

Chris

Some of those look ok, but I have to wonder do they ever invent a new style, or just copy spyderco?

the 201 activator looks like the one I had wished they would build, a larger version of the 210 and 211 would make a great knife

Anyone got a better pic of the 14205? I can't get it to pull up due to a run time error on the web site. Whats the diff between that and the 14200? Just lack of bolsters is all I can see to look at it but not being able to pull up the details fully I'd like to know more.

Thanks

Why does no one seem to like the HK series? I like all the HK AXIS folder designs, including this new one (14205). It is the only one that really does anything for me. That baby is pretty sweet but unfortunately the link doesn't want to work for me to find out the details.

The Dejavoo is nice but I guess I'm down on liner locks right now. If it was an AXIS it would be much more appealing.

As far as copying spyderco, I don't really see much resemblence except for the pika II. The dejavoo could be considered spydero-ish, but that is Bob Lum's design, not benchmade. The hole is an entirely different topic that has been covered elsewhere.

It looks to me to be a larger version of the 14210. It has a slightly different blade shape and it looks like G10 from the tiny pic.

I am a BM fan, but when I see the hole, I am always thinking Spyderco, and it bothers me than several new BMs look like Spyderco clones. Plus I prefer the thumb stud or disk anyway, and I ALSO PREFER THE AXIS LOCK!
