New Benchmades are in!

I am a BM fan, but when I see the hole, I am always thinking Spyderco, and it bothers me than several new BMs look like Spyderco clones.

Benchmade originally used the round hole before the oval one. My brother still has an AFCK with the round hole.

I know. I still think of Spyderco, though, whether BM used to have it or not, or whether they have permission or not.

I like the HK line better than all the others. They seem to be higher consistancy builds to me.

Some interesting knives there!

Here's one I don't like: http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=10100

Combine a 5.2" blade with a liner lock? Worst idea ever.

Love the dejavu, for the same reason I love the Calypso Jr. Except the Dejavu is a liner lock, which knocks it out for me, but probably not for most others.

The rescue knife with the spring-loaded glass breaker looks interesting!

I'm also admiring the 14205 Snody folder (details page is broken as of this writing), and the bigger Activator.

The new benchmades are in! the new benchmades are in! im somebody now!!! haha sorry, from a movie. Anyways, im looking forward to what new stuff they have to offer. I hate ordering knives because i cant wait for em to get here. A little off topic but i just bought a victorinox swiss tool! its on its way :-\ as far as benchmade goes while im on topic, do you know what model knife this is?

i got it years back, has the spyder hole in it that they paid for for a little bit, but i have lost the box.

I think most of you guys are jumping the gun on that large knife. Wait and see how thick the liners are.
About 5 years ago, before the axis and framelock became popular, no one would have mentioned a word about it.

You're mistaken! There was a large contingent of folks who felt liner locks were unreliable before any of the newer locks were invented, you've just forgotten the past sonny! :) The lock format is unreliable at any liner thickness. And in the past few years, a shocking number of Benchmade liner locks failed a light spine whack onto my knee, so I have good reason to have expectations already.

So I assume they did nothing to the Grips for 2007? As in, same quality of materials as 2006 right?

I like that 201. I like my 210 my only complaint was its a tat to small, well I now need that 201. The rest seem like "me to" type knives, I don't fall for it.

But WHEN will we be able to download the new catalog???
This has been teasing me a while:
"2007 Benchmade Consumer Catalog will be available for download soon. The wait is almost over...":( :grumpy:
