So I decided to suspended the knife between two stacks of magazines. I had the handle and blade pretty much fully supported with a few inch gap around the logo. Applying full body weight with my heel on the logo made the bend ever so slightly better, but after about ten minutes of messing with it the knife was still bent.
I have 2 Bk-14 inbound in the mail and now I am seriously stressed !

Holy crap - are you *trying* for a trip to the ER? Seems like a pretty bad idea, man.

or clamps. just watch out for twisting (use guide rods). explosive release...
Just in the interest of completing this thread, I did end up shipping back the BK14 today to Tooj. I'm sure he'll take care of me.
Though I have to say I'm not happy about having to pay return shipping to Kabar to get this problem solved, when I was sent not one but two defective knives.... grumble grumble. Ah well.
How much was shipping? I'll reimburse you for it. Lets just hope you didn't send it express overnight early AM delivery, that could wind up costing me quite a bit.

Wow, thanks for the offer! (Do you work for Kabar?) I believe amazon.com is going to reimburse me for the return shipping. If they do not I will let you know.
