New BK82

Got mine today. Still can’t believe this came with standard grivory, don’t know why they did that. Luckily my TKC g10 also came today. I went with blue to go with the blue jeans micarta of the BK76. This is now awesome…

Looks amazing. 👌

If I may inquire...

How is the fit in the sheath with the TKC scales?

Thank you. The sheath works well. Still has great retention with the TKC scales.

Yep, just as I thoughterized. BK2 is about the only Type of blade style that such a large handle is justified on.

I'm going to transfer my Dogwood Fire Fly Transparent Clear Acrylic Handle Scales with Green Glow Stones to the Magna Cut one when it arrives. Probably the Blue Acrylic Handle Scales with Green Glow Stones on the BK 72. The BK5 can have the Micarta handle scales that came with the BK72 or get a set of TKC G10s since it sees a lot of Large Critter Cutting Duties...with KA-BAR Sale coming up...maybe just plain jane Micarta Scales :D I'll need one for the BK2 standard one anyways.

Oh and some BK22 sheaths as well!

Outstanding! Thanks for the reply.

I have TKC scales on the BK-2 that has seen the most time with me. However, it's actually a BK-22 (*with the nylon sheath), so fitment was never really an issue.

I suggest to keep the BK2 sheath it comes with when you go Wilderhooding, its less likely to pokerize things if there is an accident or a fall.

Well deciding what handle scales to get...probably a TKC G-10 for the BK5 unless a slightly thinner grip is needed for the BK 82. In decided to get a set of of G-10 scales for the BK5, the Modifed Tanto even got accidentally used for the mass large mammal slaughter...er the large mammal HARVESTING, and was told it cut and trimmed well as well as the BK5. I think it was the blade slight curve, that was "Fun" to clean...

I'm getting the BK82 because I want one and get one before I go back to car payment land where looking at car costs it would be two BK82s a month at minimum for car payments. And it will be used.

I think the BK72s when they were on sale, KA-Bar saw there was a market for a heavy use good SS knife. The Dutch Bush Crafters showed how tough a big hunk of S35VN in BK2 can be.

DANG IT! Thanks to Ka-Bar I have to put off getting a few more Micarta Handles and a TKC one for the BK82 and BK72 handle scale swaps.

Reason...Ordered the ON SALE FDE BK2 with a BK22 FDE colored sheath! I was going to order a BK22 sheath anyways for the BK82 so in the long run I'm still saving money! This will put my BK2s up to 5! But...my little adopted brother who became the defacto head of house where the "Evil Step Mother" lives after my father died, might get one of my unused BK2s as it has micarta handles already...I never gave away a Becker Knife yet...

I’d take 2 in 3V also. ;)

Agreed. That would be an incredible offering.

When I saw that the BK-82 was in Magnacut, I kinda' found myself wishing that they'd gone with 3V instead. Upon further thought, I realized that a BK-2 offered in a virtually corrosion proof steel is pretty exciting. I'm so glad that I picked one up.
