New BK82

Got mine yesterday! Big shout out to Tomar’s. Incredibly fast shipping. I ordered it on Friday and it arrived on Monday and we’re on opposite ends of the country.

The good, it’s freaking cool. Such a little tank of a knife. Takes me back to the days of sharpened pry bars in the Busse hay day. Makes for a great chonky EDC. The Micarta handle scales are definitely an improvement over factory plastic.

The bad, the fit and finish on this knife is meh. I don’t like that the tang is proud of the scales. I’ll have to grind that flush or round the corners. The factory edge is kinda rough and not very sharp at all. That’s easily fixed on my TSPROF. The primary grind is not amazing either. It has weird gouge marks. They aren’t deep enough to really matter… but this wasn’t a cheap knife. You can also see belt marks through the stone wash. But all that really just encourages me to beat the shit out of it.

I liked it enough to buy another. Cool knife.

Yep. It's worth the price if you want one at this price point. It only costs about as two normal BK 2s.

The BK 72 must of shown KA-BAR there was market for a high end SS knife. I'd even get a new 420 HC if made. Both of my BK 72 and BK 82 are fantastic winter knives and large critter cutter uppers.

I love the. BK 22 sheath for the BK 2/72/82 knives. BK 82 working great like the BK 72. It's not a high priced little sliver of steel that others are at this price. I do suggest keeping the BK 2 sheath more active use to keep the blade from cutting through a sheath if you all down a ridge.
 
(Not a paid dealer) has the 82 as part of their going out of business sale.

BK 82 is great price point value for the amount of magnacut steel you get that is mostly done in a decent product. The little sliver of magnacut that others charge for about the same price point. For large critter cutting, the longer wear is a bonus.

EDICUS: Wow, the BK 82 seems to of gone from most places. I was going to get another one.
EDICUS TWO-ELECTIC BOOGALOO: The going out of bussiness sale made me get some things that cost as much as a BK 82. Got a few extra micarta handle scales, classic ka-bar and modified tanto.

I wanted to post in this thread, earlier today, but didn't want to break any rules. I don't know how to know or find which retailers are forum supporters. Because of that, I chose not to post.
