I was actually afraid I was being too negative prior to that :o. And your comment is the best way to reset this whole thing LOL. Perfect is relative and fleeting. The thing I LOVE MOST about knives is I see them as a rare thing in a modern world... functional art. Everyone is going to see different things in a given piece.

Didn't buy it, but I have had knives with finger/thumb notches in them and didn't like them. If I'm making a fuzz stick I get a bigger knife. Small knives HAVE there place don't get me wrong, that's what I reach for 95% of the time(ie 3"-4"). I would never handle a knife as pic'd in the wild cause you slip you could drive a splinter into you thumb. I say that because where I live and go you might not see a plane for 3-7 days or more, and we don't have cell towers everwhere. Just IMHO.

I know its a fake, you're a bastid.:D

But that's essentially what I want.

Slap some epoxy in the thumb grooves. You ever get tired of the knife, you can just pop it out and sell the blade as it was made originally. :p

be careful when batoning if you do this, I've found that epoxy, while awesome, does not hold up well to concentrated shock. I vote you buy one and have the custom shop round them out. it would probably be like 50$ and 3-6 months wait, but it would be legit custom shop work.

Does anyone have the link to the drawings for the initial sar4 prototypes handy?
