No more than 3/16" or else the weight will restrict its speed too much. I really hope this happens, but the Swamp has been awfully quiet lately...

I have used an M43 from HI for years, including several years of survival use. If the swamp's came out with one in sr101 I would indeed be a happy camper.

After having regularly used kukuris for the last 15 years, I can tell you that about 1/4" thick spined kuk with really great steel will chop like the dickens. If you're looking for a really "fast" knife instead of a powerful one, a kukuri shape is not what you're looking for. The thinnest kuk I've used to any great degree was over .25", and it was only 5160. About .24" in S7, or preferably 3V would be ideal.

At similar thicknesses factory edges the TTKZ easily beat the NMFBM for me so my money is on the .187-.22 Khukrat vs the .187 1311. I REALLY would like to be able to find out first hand though!
