Better off with the bushman. You could put a little kit in that handle if you want, and they seem a lot tougher. Also the ability to make a bad a$$ spear is always a plus. If you really want a hollow handle that would be the way I'd go, put a cork or something to plug up he end. I believe the handle has small holes for screws to secure a shaft when making a spear, you could use the holes to figure something out to hold a kit inside the handle.
