Nice! What one did you get?Just got my third and it’s another good one. Seems they nailed the quality and consistency on this run.
Abalone, pearl, and ebony.Nice! What one did you get?
I wonder if switching to brass liners helped?
Love the tang stamp on the ebony! Finally got mine.
Just a short back ground story...I purchased mine from a vendor on another knife forum. The knife arrived with couple of minor F&F issues (most likely wouldn't have bothered anyone), but with the vendor mark up, I had paid a bit more than what it was going for at the time, and thought, I would like it perfect...
The vendor had gone on a leave and I couldn't get a hold of them so I called Cooper Cutlery direct as instructed on the 'insert.'
Well, needless to say, Mr. Gilbert Cooper answered and told me to send the knife back and said, "We'll take care of it. We stand behind our products."
And took care of it he did. He gave me a call a few times after the knife was shipped out from their shop and asked if I had received my knife.
Hats off to Cooper Cutlery and the team! Looking forward to the next round of releases!
Love my ebony!

Oof, I need that NY Knife Co. jack on the top there. Very nice! Finally took a family photo from this last run. I really like them (the last run of jacks too, but these are better.)View attachment 2668287
I kindof like the spear point without an etch, pretty cool example here. The Beaver Falls Ebony Jack was delivered.

It sure looks good, the light stripe of ebony is pleasing to my eye.
Fit is solid.. No blade play or rap, no gaps at the bolster, pins are flush, the spring is flush at halfstop, centered blade.
I'm not keen on how to gauge the number system on pulls and walks/talks yet. So I'll say it's right where I like it. I'm glad it has a deep long pull, satisfying to open to the halfstop. A good snap from half to open, and from half to close its really snappy, like be extra careful when closing snap.
Only two issues that I found so far but one of them isn't really a big deal.

^ One of the pins has been attacked! lol
The other thing is on the cutting edge, one side is grinded higher than the other, particularly at the spear tip.
Looking at the tip I can't help but think of how it resembles my first attempts at freehand sharpening with a lopsided edge!
Overall I am quite pleased with my Beaver Falls Jack. I won't hesitate to get another Cooper offering and looking forward to exploring the brand.
I will say that I hope to have an even grind on the next purchase.
That looks great. I prefer it to the red.Beaver Falls Bourbon. Very nice!
