A Connecticut pattern might sell.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this thread, i think the head is missing too much steel at the top, the bewel is way too close to the cutting edge and this axe could be rendered useless with just a couple of good old chips repair.
I hope this issue get fixed in the 2.0 version![]()
Rooster, please understand that i am only saying this to help improve on the design, not to critisice for the fun of it.
Most see phantom bevel as aesthetic as they dont significantly reduce de weight or affect the function of an axe, I was not saying that they ought to be removed completly, just that the top one is overly long for no good reason as you dont need a 4 inch wide surface to run a fero rod in order to produce sparks.
Im just trying to make a point that some people who know a little bit more about how an axe ware out will be reluctant to purchase an axe with such over exagerated phantom bevel, thus this might make it so less people buy it.
just my opinion anyways.
I DO realise that it mean changing the dies on a new product and this would probably not happen, all im saying is i think it would be better that way.
Understood... and as a side note: you have some serious photoshop skills!! .... Very nice presentation...
