New CRK Exclusive **Carbon Fiber**PICS ADDED

Fyi...Just called KA. They have no idea when to expect it. Initially, they thought they would receive it by Blade. I was told there will be no preorder and to call once a week. I was not given any other details.

I would probably buy just the scale it self if they decide to sell it separate but not the whole knife as Id miss having the (non locking) titanium side.

Edit *If they sold the scale alone seperate I would be more inclined to buy it rather than purchasing the whole knife as a package. Reason being
I would want the option of having the non locking titanium side as well. With that said it still is pretty cool. Im really impressed with CRKs
willingness to look forward. I hope we see a CF inlay in the future. That would be amazing

I think they look really good...i'll def have to get one:)

I remember a while back, someone posted something about a new design for the Sebenza coming soon...wonder if this is it?

I like that it drops the weight of the large a full ounce (4.7 to 3.7 oz).

Anyone know how CF does with scratches?
I have a Spyderco Chicago in CF and it seems to scratch quite easily. I don't like this take on the Sebenza. This is just ruining a amazing knife just to make money, they know everyone will buy because people just have to have the latest trend. I guess thats business tho.

Hmmm. To be very honest, I'm not a big fan of this implementation or other "non-Ti scale on one side" approach on Sebenza in general. The degin jump is a little too drastic between lock-bar side and plain side. Maybe I'd feel differently when I see one in person though... Still no sign of left hand model so I'm out of luck anyway...

Never going to happen, you know that. :D And it could only be on the non-locking side and still be a framelock - other side's gotta be Ti or some other metal. ;)

You'd think they would have opted for silver lugs on these...

Indeed, double lugs at that.

EDIT/ Really nice pics up at KnifeArt, and I kinda dig that they put the CR logo in the CF( I guess thats a given)

Knife Art pioneered the Insingo Sebenza. I'm guessing since CRK took away that exclusive Sebenza, they felt they should give them another one.

Dammmit! why do these have to be on the way so soon. Its literally an impossibility for me to not get at least a large one. I guess I better start selling some knives.

That is a really nice looking knife, especially like the color contrast between the CF, Ti and the blue parts. The reduction in weight is also a benefit.

Only problem is it's a bit expensive. For about the same price, you can buy a standard Sebenza and get a custom made CF scale from one of the talented pimpers. Then you have the option of the standard all Ti model or easily switching to the cool lightweight CF model.

Interesting. After looking at the pics (KnifeArt always posts beautiful pics), I'm not sure this one floats my boat, which is just as well, since it will save a good bit of cash. :D

i have stated earlier that I don't like this knife. however, if Knife Art were to make the CF side an inlay instead of an entire scale I would be all over it.

It will make a very nice light EDC, for a knife this size( I have something like it from a custom maker and it is a great carry-don't even notice it in the pocket).
I think it is good that CRK is trying new things, as long as they also keep making the old( still want the regular back-beat that dead horse one more time)
