New CRKT snap on exclusive wrinkle!

Got mine in today...perfect lockup and centering. And flys open smooth smooth smooth and FAST! It is just as fast as any assisted knife I own. And I was not impressed w the bearings on the Ripple, but this knife was a steal at the sale price. Love the blade shape, and plenty sharp out of the box.

I agree the scales are not as cool as they think they are, particularly the paint job, but if I have a feeling a little sand paper and a stonewash and it may see some pocket time. Just a little largeish for my normal carry duties.

They're back. Woot has Brown Wrinkles for $30.00. Get 'em while you can. (PS: To the best of my knowledge, Woot is the only place you can buy Wrinkles other than directly from Snap-On.)

Thanks brother Bld! I started reading this thread and was lamenting the fact that I missed the woot sale, get to the end and see your post! Just snagged one! Thanks again!

PS: The brown Wrinkles on sale right now have satin blades, not coated like previously. Just FYI.

Just an opinion... Brown might not be the best color for this knife, just saying. It gives it a certain 'look'.
I think I'll pass this time; waiting for a different color, any other color.

I think im going to order the tiger striped blur instead
Where can you buy a NIB Blur for $30.00?

Seriously? You're willing to pass up a knife that by any measure is a best buy because you don't like the color of the handle? Take the scales off, paint them black, put them back on and you STILL have a best buy!

Meh, if it ends up looking that bad I'll just sand the coloring off. I really like raw metal handles anyways :peaceful:

just noticed in the pic shown, it says first production. Anyone know if the actual ones will come with that?

I wouldn't be surprised. They could be some that were manufactured prior to the exclusive deal CRKT entered into with Snap-On. Of course, labeling does nothing for a knife's performance. But some people think it's important. For me, the less lettering on a blade, the better.

Mine came in and has the First Production on the blade. Are these handles painted or anodized?
