The thing about PM2s though is that there are at least a few reliable, experienced makers out there of custom scales if you really want something other than what comes with it. Sure, after spending that much money on a knife, maybe the last thing you want to do is buy custom scales for it, but it is an option.

I agree. Did just that. Being thicker and contoured made being smooth not a big deal with grippiness. The peel ply CF of my m4 pm2 is thinner and equally grippy due to the finish.
