New District 9 Knife

One last shot I forgot:

Comparison with the ZT0561. You can see they're pretty close in size/shape/etc.

Rocking post Mr. Cosmonaut! It seems in line with my suspicion they they are both the same knife, modified differently by each vendor. I have to admit I'm feeling more partial to the stonewashed look.

They could probably shave an ounce, maybe two, if they fluted the inside of the Ti scale and lockbar like the ZT 056X series.

was still wondering if it was a 3 1/4" or 3 3/4" blade. might not matter to most of you, but it is rather impt for me.
and that kindda confirms what i've been reading everywhere. it's def a 3 3/4".

thank you!

You're correct it is indeed the 3 3/4" blade. I inserted an annotation into the video to correct that slip of the tongue. Sorry for the confusion.

How long did it take to get your D9's? Mine was shipped Monday, and the latest tracking shows it's still in China.

It took mine about a week to get to me from Reate, but that was because there were some issues with the addressing.

That Gnoled clip would look awesome on the bronze one for sure. It would look even better with that specific clip if the milling on the outside of the handles was also anodized the same color. The blue really pops on the bronze color.

Well it's been a week and the tracking hasn't updated since the 3rd when it said it was dispatched from sorting center in Shenzhen. Getting a bit nervous.

I had the same problem, you should have it soon hopefully. Apparently after Shenzhen it gets transferred to a different carrier to take it to the US.

Ugh still nothing. I did get a call from some unheard of shipping company on Thursday saying they had a package and wanted to verify the address on the label. I am hoping that is it, but I'm surprised that I haven't received it yet.

Got my Storm Tanto today, which was shipped slower than my Reate version. Beautiful knife, and I love the tanto shape.

Here's mine.. other than the pocket clip and "hot-spots" on the handle.. I really like it!

I try to avoid made in China stuff when I can.
Better to keep my dollars close to home

Thanks for that info. I tend to be left-liberal in all matters except purchasing American made when possible, and we have good home grown stuff at all price points
