New Doug Ritter folder

Just recieved the 20cv Hogue. It's my first Hogue and I love that the handle is ever so slightly longer than the Grip. I always felt the Grip's handle was a tad too short but now it's perfect. For $160 this knife is perfect.

My orange version just got delivered. Both handle and blade are flawless. Major props to both Knifeworks and Doug Ritter for making this happen.

Got my orange Ritter yesterday. Everything is pretty much as perfect as the black ones. Love how the orange color really pops. Still not a fan of the clip...it works great while in pocket but doesn't feel good in hand. Other than that my other minor quibbles are that the standoffs are silver when they would've been cooler if blackened. Love the contrast between the black hardware and the orange G10, but I may eventually swap all the hardware between it and my edc black.

I was looking forward to this orange Ritter, but I must admit that I am disappointed by the choices made in the color of the hardware. I imagined an Orange G10 with silver hardware and maybe another version with a black blade later on.
As a result, I am disappointed by this disharmony in the choice of hardware color. The silver spacers are really the detail that end up ruining the harmony of this version.

I hope Hogue will soon release a 2.0 version to fix this.

I changed out the clip to the bullet pattern I had on the Bone Collector that I bead blasted some time ago.

Yeah If the blade were blackened it would be logical to have all-black hardware.
When I get time I'll swap the the silver hardware to the orange one.

I too like the feel of the split arrow clip much better than the ritter. Deep carry isn't as important to me as comfort.

Yeah, I know I'm being particular about it as well. I'm a huge orange fan and this one looks like an awesome example except for the silver standoffs. I wish they were black, and that's the only thing holding me back from ordering one. I will probably end up getting one in the long run but still a little disappointed.

Same here. I like the split arrow clips appeal as well.

I am glad Doug and Hogue designed the knife to be able to take a wide variety of clips.

Disassembly an reassembly is pretty much the same as a Griptilian.
I think the sexbolt and pivot bolt are identical.
The easiest way to reassemble is to loosely put the ABLE/AXIS liner module together and attached to one scale before replacing the blade and washers.

Finished.
I replaced the pivot screw on the orange with a plain titanium screw.
I'm going to try to find a silver colored sexbolt that fits. If it fits the large griptillian then it should fit the ritter too.
Also need to replace the clip as I dislike the factory clip.
Looks much better though, both of them!

Love that thick and wide bronze washers. Also like the fact that the end of the liners are fastened with one of the body standoff, unlike the Griptilian which is only partially wedged in the rear standoff. Much better design.

The MK1-G2 Orange G10 is undeniably more aesthetic with silver hardware.

I hope Knifeworks will make this option available soon.

Got mine a while ago.Really do not like the deep carry clip that came with the knife or the one installed in the pic below.I agree the standard BM pocket clip is much better and doesn't create a hot spot.

Two additional things - one of the screws holding the clip on mine came partially fastened, with 3/32" sticking up which was really odd must of been a Friday afternooner. The other the blade on mine had a weird amount of vertical blade play that does not go away.I may have to take this apart and bend the omega spring to create more tension on the locking bar
