New EDC and I'm lost

The thing I don't like about any of the G10 Spydercos as EDC knives is that the G10 is too successful at being grippy - it's hard to get anything else in and out of the pocket you keep the knife in. With any of the slicker scales it's no longer a problem. I like the grippy nature of G10 for doing real work, especially if it's hot and humid and my hands may be sweaty or muddy, but I don't enjoy the mild rugburn I get on the back of my hands when EDCing my PM2 or Manix 2. No experience yet with FRN scales.

Funny thing is, the Sage 1 is only 1/8" longer than the Leek. It's the width and thickness of the Sage that's fooling you. Put them side by side and you'll see.

Perhaps it's like the difference between carrying a Glock19 iwb and then carrying a xds9 iwb. The change in thickness is minimal, but the feel is like night and day.

Edit:words

If you're looking for a good spyderco to edc, I really think the spyderco paramilitary 2. I'm actually about to buy It. And you can find them on Amazon or eBay, and usually you want to be weary about buying quality knives online (unless directly off the site) but honestly, no one is going to fake a para 2. They fake higher end knives like lionspy.

Please rethink what you type. Paramilitary 2 seems to be one of the more commonly ripped off folders with many fakes out there in existence. Be very cautious.
There is a thread stickied here to help warn consumers of the knockoffs out there, check it out.

Also seems kind of hard to recommend something for EDC when you don't own one to carry daily yourself...

I prefer my Spydie Stretch (vg-10) to my Spydie Para 2. I like the blade length to overall length ratio of the Stretch. I also prefer the FRN over G10 for EDC. While it might not feel as good, it's easier to pull out of my jeans and grips VERY well. The Stretch is an incredible slicer, feels very solid in hand, and is large enough for tactical use - if that's a concern for you. All for about $80 USD to your door.

I just bought a Delica 4 and I love it. My only downside with it is that I prefer liner locks because they are easier to close with one hand. From opening to using it, I love this knife.
