New ESEE DPx H•E•S•T Folder

size and the tool info is right there in the second pic (it took me a second to see the tool, so as a hint, it's in the top right corner)

no dimensions listed for the DP skull, only for the folder.

however i expect the hex that's the "nose" is .25" across the flats.

my only question is where is the lanyard attackment point on the folder, or is the lanyard for the Mr. DP skull tool?

with that deep carry pocket clip i'd expect the option of adding a lanyard to fish the thing out of your pocket.

So far nothing has beat the Junglas in sales on my site.

I have yet to have any other knife in such demand as the Junglas until now!

I feel when this becomes available it's going to be huge, the demand for it just might surpass the Junglas.

Time will tell.

it's not 'rotolock' but 'rotoblock', and it's that little thing in the middle of the lockbar that prevents it from being opened too far (like the Hinderer lockbar stablizer)
Not only does it stop the lock bar from opening to far but it can also lock the knife in the open position.:thumbup:

I CAN'T stop staring at it!!!!
It's SOOOOOOOOOO purdy!!!!.....and functional!!!!!

I hope the colors on those renders are the ones that will be on the final production model. Grey, my favorite color:cool:

BUT no one has commented on the MR DP skull tool that comes with every knife! Its going to be a cool little conversation piece and a stand alone multi tool with yet ANOTHER opener, scraper, blade, hex tool, defense weapon etc etc.

1. i'm not seeing a second bottle opener on the skull. not a huge deal, but i';m just not seeing it,
2. looks like you need not one, but TWO of these tools to adjust the tension on the blade pivot. yet only provide one tool?
3. just curious if the pins for adjusting the pivot are the same dimensions as the ones on Strider folders? i don't have one, but have seen several third party tools for them.
4. the tool seems to have sharp edges where i'd expect to be grasping it to use it. sharp edges on a little wrench don't seem like a good idea,
5. i'd rather see the glass breaker be hex shaped, or have normal wrench flats instead of needing a special tool.

6. a Carson-style flipper would be nice on the blade. but he probably wants royalties for using it, much like Spyderco wants to be paid for round holes.
7. a link to "how to use the Rotoblock" would be nice. i'm assuming that you need to rotate the button?

I love it but can we have a model without a skull with a cap?

big +1 on this, skulls are great. so are laughing skulls. even a laughing skull in shades.

but the cap seems silly.

with my luck someone's niece or other family member probably drew it.

Very cool. :thumbup::thumbup:

Nice work to everyone involved. I can only imagine the headaches bringing this to life. Im right in line waiting with my $$. Just blown away here.

Isnt that Mr Peltons logo?

It isnt my favorite logo, but it doesnt bother me much. His knife should have his logo....

I am already loving this knife. Everything from the Ti frame lock, the (IMHO) perfect jimping, G-10, and deep pocket clip make this knife spot on for me. I an also very pleased to see that you kept the wire breaker notch and bottle opener (especially the bottle opener)! I will definitely be buying one as soon as I can get my hands on it. I'm not one to know right off if I'm sure about a knife or buy one without at least holding it first. But I would send you the money for one today if I could! GREAT JOB EVERYONE! Very well thought out.

Just a quick thought. Maybe I can get a response from ESEE or RYP. First let me say that I'm not trying to change your design. You have done a wonderful job as I have previously stated. NOW! what is the back spacer made of? I was curious if I could have a new one made at a local machine shop to replace it? I'd love to have it made of metal and integrate the prybar function. Any comments? Thanks

so, is it just me, or does the jimping look sized for stripping different gauges of wire?
