As a knife maker, I get tired of mall ninjas asking for 'tactical' colors all the time when not one of them is even part time military or LEO. Color makes it different and easy to find. As an ex Fire Fighter who worked finding people (SAR), something that doesn't look like a military tool can get by when the only diff is the color. No one also will be willing to be seen with it so your stuff STAYS your stuff. If you don't like it, please by all means don't buy it. Some he man types can pull off wearing pink shirts and no one dares question it...others can't handle the ribbing they get from it so they puss out. (shrug) It doesn't matter to me. I am glad to see some color for a change other than dirt colors.

Hell, I did a knife for my wife for her BOB and it was done with butterfly camo and I left one butterfly in Blaze Orange. She loved it and the guys thought the camo was cool and very different (my wife likes butterflies)

Esee just lost my business with that anti-marijuana crap. :p

:D

...seriously. Marijuana is the least of their concerns. Wheres EdWoods opinion on this?

Agreed! Esee company are good ol boys - moonshine and liquor (their drug of choice) can fuel a man to commit murder in a drunken rage, drive cars head on into family filled vehicles, and generally is exponentially far worse for your health but let's make some glow-stick green knives and market them as anti-marijuana blades. As if the growers aren't armed heavily themselves. The ninja camo was a nice touch too.

I guess it's all about the dollar, even though they've stated many years back that they never cared about revenue from the sale of their knives. I'm not buying that for a minute.

Edit: to add that I'm against the war on marijuana and support it's controlled use as a drug under a Dr.'s supervision.

They need jimping and perhaps some skullzzzzzzzzz!!!!! searching for the "pukey" smiley.

No self respecting mall ninja would get caught dead with those. They need a new name and advertising campaign. How about "The Doucheknife?" Each one includes a survival sheath with a pouch for your hair gel, bronzer and lip balm.

Those are horribly ugly. But I kinda love them because of it. Their warranty is still amazing, and the build quality will still be up to snub despite the color scheme. Jeff can have my money, even if he can't get over stupid differences and keep a home here.

"Up to snuff." And yeah, the differences were stupid. Truly.

I still respect Jeff, as do many others here. He's undoubtedly been in far nastier situations than I'll ever be in, and I've spent a lot of time in Wilderness areas in the Rockies. But he did lose a lot of respect for the way that came down.

Never, and I mean never did I think I would see knives that freaking ugly. Just Wow.

edit-Also didn't know that's how they were marketing the Junglas. They can keep it to.

Never could spell squat after 10pm. :D +1 on the rest

Per Jeff Randall, the venom green is a fad color.

"I figure these VG colors have about a 6-month shelf life, if that. After that then they will probably be pulled from our lineup and not made anymore. All these fad colors don't last long."

I bought a red izula for the drop-in-the-forest visual reason, and also because it's fun. Clearly knives are srs bidness for many people here, but they're toys as well as tools for me. I'd have twenty izulas in every color if they weren't so g.d. expensive... ESEE knives (and sheaths) are really great.

WOW, that was close, I almost purchased my first ESEE last month, a Junglas of all knives. After seeing this thread, NEVER, I repeat NEVER, will I EVER support ESEE. I actually have a becker neck knife I got at blade last year, esees name is on it for some reason. Next gold or platinum member who wants it just post firsts here and email me and Ill send it to you for free. If that person would rather me make a destruction video with it, they have that option as well.

here it is

It's not a Busse, so I guess a .50 BMG is out of the question. Bricks or cinder blocks could be interesting, though. Betcha it'll hold up better than you expect.
