New for 2025

Stickboy was a spokesperson, who admittedly said he didn't know much about knives/cold steel. I would think a "brand manager" should know everything there is to know about the upcoming new line of knives.

I guess it is all how GSM sees it.

GSM CORPORATE: "Today you are a brand manager because there is nobody else around to do this video". Also, he must be a designer because he helped Demko design the soon to be legendary Java.
Seems to be more than a spokesperson, at least according to this, but who knows:

Interesting, I didn't listen to the podcast, but it seems Stickman AKA Keith Beam is running Cold Steel ? Never read or heard this before.

"Upon taking the helm, Keith got a crash course in all things Cold Steel from none other than the company’s founder, Lynn Thompson . . . .

While overseeing Cold Steel . . . . "

Really stoked, to hear about the new releases from Cold Steel for 2025; especially the Hatamoto. Even though, it sports a SRP of $330.00 USD. The XL Recon 1 is a showstopper. A buy-in price is @ $280.00 USD dollars. Featuring a 5 1/2" blade, and CTS XHP steel. The Colossus has a SRP of $300.00 USD. Obviously, someone has been listening to the at-large, Cold Steel Community. If your thinking about a Black Sable, then you better get-out your 'gold card'. These are gonna be almost $500 dollars, out-the-door! Yow!! Whose the remedial, who called these 'gas-station' knives? Yeah, right!!

The XL Recon is a win for anyone who missed them the first time around. I have one in XHP from the old days and it is one of my all time favorites. The mini-wasp has me thinking, maybe…. That kris blade push knife monstrosity thing though, wtf were they thinking.

Yeah, the regular Wasp never did anything for me, but the mini looks interesting.

Wow, I hadn't seen that monstrosity! But honestly, I don't know which is worse, the new Tough Guy knife or the new Tough Guy clothes....

Clothing that makes a statement : "Shoot me 1st" !

At least your big brass balls will be kept cool by those "crotch grommets " . :p

I actually like practically everything on the video , excepting the use of a liner lock on a premium knife .

Market is flooded with liner locks ; many inexpensive and great quality . Cold Steel cannot compete effectively there .

Use the unique locks you have , Cold Steel ! Tri-ad and Atlas .

Definitely will be wanting the little Frenzy , Black Sable , and the XL Recon 1... at some point after prices bottom out . ;)

The Java ...gonna have to think on that one ! :p

The XL Recon has my attention for sure. I have the Recon 1 and Mini, but there is just something when they step it up to the larger sizes:)
The mini wasp also is on my radar. I have nearly picked up the full size a couple of times but its just a tad to long.
I'm on the fence about the Colossus. I like the size, but I dunno if I have any real use for one:P

visually, the colossus, it's not a favorite Mike Wallace design for me...but there was a guy from Italy that was using his out hiking/camping and such, etc he was loving it for reasons I hadn't really thought about. Mike designed it well for a big, wide bladed folder.

The secondary sale prices on the original 60 series were getting ridiculous, so I'm very glad that GSM is re-introducing the line. I'm especially excited to see a Tri-Ad Black Sable and the Hatamoto, both of which I was hoping for when the Caledonian and the Specter were released in 2024. I never expected to see the Colossus or the Recon 1 XL again, so I'm glad for those, as well.

I don't know from which location GSM is gathering the requests of this "Cold Steel Nation" Jamin talked about, but GSM seems to be paying at least a little bit of attention to customer interest. [Note: Jamin, if you're reading this, why don't you try joining Blade Forums? We'll help you with knife ideas for Cold Steel. You might even learn some things about Cold Steel's history here.]

So on the new 60 series, if all the screws are hidden, how do you take them apart?
