New for 2025

I am, very much, a fan of the CS PD's as a reasonable stand in, when a sidearm is not preferred. That being said, i don't come across too many orcs or dragons in my daily pursuits. 🤣

I think GSM also owns SOG now too did anyone see their 2025 offerings ? Its so bad looks like its geared towards 10 year olds....

The secondary sale prices on the original 60 series were getting ridiculous, so I'm very glad that GSM is re-introducing the line. I'm especially excited to see a Tri-Ad Black Sable and the Hatamoto, both of which I was hoping for when the Caledonian and the Specter were released in 2024. I never expected to see the Colossus or the Recon 1 XL again, so I'm glad for those, as well.

I don't know from which location GSM is gathering the requests of this "Cold Steel Nation" Jamin talked about, but GSM seems to be paying at least a little bit of attention to customer interest. [Note: Jamin, if you're reading this, why don't you try joining Blade Forums? We'll help you with knife ideas for Cold Steel. You might even learn some things about Cold Steel's history here.]

I agree, if anyone at GSM/Cold Steel is listening, retool now and manufacture the Hatamoto with the Tri-Ad lock. Thank you, I promise you will sell more.

This was the exact; same thing, that I thought. If your gonna re-introduce the Hatamoto with carbon fiber, why use a weak liner-lock. Especially, on a tanto-styled warblade. Where max strength is everything. Also, no Cold Steel deference to lefties, not ambi at all. Definitely: yesterday's technology, and design. No one wants to get raped on the sale! That kris push-dagger is just ugly: like a bad-prop from grade B, zombie-flick.

Wow, I hadn't seen that monstrosity! But honestly, I don't know which is worse, the new Tough Guy knife or the new Tough Guy clothes....

By the way. I have a set of vertx tactical jeans. And I rate them highly. Lighter, cooler, stretchier, better pockets.

I have no issue with tactical casual clothing.

yeah. the autos looked okay. otf looks the same other than weird reddish color. hope they fixed the blade bouncing on the way inside out that created flat spots. the other side opener auto looked alright to me.

Nor do I. But I'm unclear as to what a knife company knows about making them. I recognize the sales gimmick of attaching weapon branding to clothing lines; it's been done for decades and will no doubt continue. I just hate seeing it being done using the Cold Steel name. I thought Lynn was getting out of his lane back when he introduced Cold Steel sunglasses and range gloves. This is several steps beneath that, in my opinion.

P.S. - Just to be clear, I'm not talking about logo shirts/hats. I get that a company wants to advertise its brand, and I have plenty of shirts and hats from many knife manufacturers.

Theoretically a knife company that promotes high speed knives. Should have high speed guys who understand the subject.

But that is just going off the vertx jeans. Which should be all gimmick. But instead are pretty amazing.

I actually like the push dagger, also I like that GSM is still willing to bring out weird things. I was worried that they were moving away from that. I also like that they're willing to go into the archives and revive older designs. To be honest, I don't have confidence in the GSM to design at nearly the same levels the original CS crew did, so going back to the well of old designs is a solid choice..

I do hate that they don't seem to issue even a pdf catalog anymore. Even a few pages tacked on to the old edition would be better than nothing.

GSM reps, thanks for saving my money for other brands :D No new designs. Just playing same old songs on a new dvd. Gosh, how you could f%ck this company that bad....

They dumped all their design and test / proofing staff and obviously don't feel any need for that stuff !

Wow looks like GSM is at least keeping the designs relevant to the Cold Steel legacy of big bad and beautiful. So far so good. I haven't bought one since GSM took over, but that might change....

I regret never getting a 4" Hold Out, and wish they'd bring that one back.
Same. I would be on board 100%. I find the 3" just a little too small for my liking, and the 6" is just overkill...but I dig it;)
A 4" Holdout would be like a tougher, manual Protech Godfather. Pop a snaggletooth on that bad boy, and you'd have a wicked little sticker.

If we are allowed to dream/tweak, I think the Holdout needs the area where the thumb stud rests milled out a bit deeper so your finger locks in better. I would be really hesitant to stab with this knife as it is.

So yes, 4" Hold Out, please.
