I think the root of the problem is that Knives Emporium stated BladeForum Members only and yet someone who is just a registered user won. Now perhaps this was just a simple mistake as in K.E. didn't realize there was a difference. Either way, hopefully all companies that do this sort of giveaway will learn from this mis step.

Thats just getting down to semantics. I'm sure KE meant any person on Bladeforums when they used the word (member)

Seems it brought into question now the whole thing and the Stephen Slampa that previously won is from the same state as the new winner here.

Could infact be the same person for all we really know... ROFL :D

Got really quite in here on Knives Emporium's behalf.

Maybe Spark can shed some light on this... ;)

I do believe that it really needs to be looked into in light of the new developments......

I would be very disappointed if there was anything "shady" going on. My "disappointment" would be nothing compared to what some people would do to tarnish KE's reputation if it is found that something fishy happened. I am not claiming that, I hope it is not the case. Just saying that it would be pretty darned bad for business if KE manipulated this at all. And it clearly wouldn't be too difficult to find out if the same person won both knives. Again, I am not saying that anything like this happened.

Yeah, but even if the same person didn't win both knives, that's not conclusive evidence to absolve KE of the issues brought up here recently

However finding out that it is the same person winning both knives would be pretty damning for KE

So how do they tell which people are from Facebook and which people are from Blade forums or wherever else?

Or were they are just drawing from whoever registered on their site?.

On a side note,
This kinda reminds me of those apple product giveaways you see on Facebook. Where they get lots of free advertising by giving away tons of free apple stuff. Yet you never see or hear from the winners. Or if you actually take the time to search out one of the winners it's always a newly created account.

something interesting in light of this, KE also ripped off Fort Henry's Custom Knives website food for thought

Interesting..... It seems that the winner was not all he seemed to be:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...s-will-feed-the-fish!?p=12119650#post12119650

A word of caution to all members.

If you are caught with multiple accounts on Bladeforums, especially those used to enter giveaways...... You will be banned.
If any of you have multiple accounts, the best thing to do is fess up now and report your duplicate accounts to staff for removal. Otherwise all accounts you have may be terminated at the staffs discretion.

Thank you Karda!

Well now that the winner has been exposed, what about Knives Emporium

I am going to just say that the right thing to do in this instance is for Knives Emporium redraw and choose a new winner. An actual Member wouldn't hurt. Not that they could possibly know that the same person had multiple accounts, but still.

was not expecting this. I just have to say wow to how all this is turning out so far. hopefully KE will chime in soon.

Now you just follow the IP address. Does it happen to be from ITT Technical Institute? Maybe somewhere else interesting?

aaand the knife's already been shipped off! Sorry, i'm in a glass half-empty kinda mood today.

That is really low though, trying to cheat a nice community's free contest.
