Visually interesting, but I don't see a practical use for it (not that there's anything wrong with that.)

There's always been a fantasy knife category for mall ninjas...Now we have the fantasy axe/hatchet category. Interesting to look at, but serve no real useful purpose.

Its hard to find reviews of ZT products. They look kind of neat, but a RMJ, Winkler or Storm Crow would be much better!

Zombies, man. :D

I love practical designs which this isn't but I can still appreciate the awesomeness of something like this.

I looked up the specs on the zombie tools website, it weighs 4 pounds.

The Estwing weighs 3 pounds.

The zombie tool axe is priced at 375 dollars and my Estwing costed me 40 dollars.

Estwing is making real tools for craftsmen and other smart and practical people with real lives, not toys for those lacking those attributes.

I agree.....Estwing makes good hammers and sometimes I use their hatchets and axes for taking out tree roots when I cut trees, if one of my wooden axes breaks I know that I could just go grab my Estwing while my broken axe waits for a new handle.

These so called "Zombie Tools" should be called Zombie Toys....what a joke, I think some spoiled rich kid is what they aim their marketing towards.

I would never pay 375 dollars for a Zombie Toy axe. :barf:

I find it amusing that the greatest disdain for people who like sharp objects comes from other people who like sharp objects!

I don't want one, but I don't feel the urge to judge those that do or impart weird characteristics to them.

From what ive seen online this company makes a pretty high quality "battle ready "series of blades. If i had spare cash lying around i would pick one up

Their fixed blades are not bad at all, but the axe looks like it was designed for a flea market. And their products are overpriced.

I too find it funny that people have such disdain for these types of blades. I don't own one nor would I buy one, but too each their own. Why do we have to call people names and belittle then just for liking something different. Hell we have a sword discussion sponsored thread on blade forums and please tell me a practical reason to own a sword. I own a few rapiers because I compete in historical fencing tournaments but they are quite impractical in this modern era. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a non practical blade without the mall ninja comment. Also I bet 90% of owners of RMJ and Winkler and StormCrow Hawks are not military or LEO where you would truly uses one of the High end full tang tomahawks. Most pics I see here with those Hawks are just guys who appreciate a good blade and have the $300- 500 bucks to buy a hawk because of the coolness factor. Let's not judge each other, let's just let people like what they want. If you don't like the Axe or what the company fine, but don't belittle others that do. Thanks!!

Some people buy a thing because it's useful. Some buy because it looks cool. Count me among the former.

There's a sucker born every minute.

This is an interesting take on the hatchet and or axe. Looks cool..Not for me though.. I can appreciate the artistic expression that someone has put into it..
I'm sure it took alot of work to make it..
I have been by the ZT website a few times over the past few years. I find the work interesting as I find different paintings interesting or classic cars interesting. They are different. Looking at many of their tools, their processes are the same as alot of knifemakers on this site..There is no less work in them..no? Their products are simply focused to a different genre.

Please do continue bashing a company that is obviously marketing and building a product in the USA..

IDK if I would buy one, but it appears to be nice design.

The Zombie Tools guys are just focusing on a specific market, as many makers/companies do.

Looks cool and probably well made. Wouldn't purchase it myself, but uh I wouldn't exactly be upset if that turned up under the tree.
