New game: name a knife you DO like from a company you DON'T like

I have 2.

The CRTK Hissatsu. While I don't HATE them, I dislike their heat treating and substandard steels. That said, I think these knives are pretty good. They have a better steel (AUS8), they have a good lock system, and it's a solid construction. I give credit where it's due.

The Microtech Makora 2. I like Microtech's knives, but I despise their business practices. If it were priced at more around the $150-$200 range, I'd snap this puppy up right away. As it is now, it remains on the shelf of my local knife store.

Don't like the new Gerber but I love my late 70's magnum folding hunter.

Don't really love CRKT but the S2 frame lock and Hawk DOG were good knives.

I have very little good to say about Case, but the 1964 moose pattern that was carried by both my father and grandfather is the last knife I would ever part with.

Spyderco never appealed to me... except for the Southfork ... want one of those

CRKT not fond of the company... but they seem to be trying, and they keep coming out with decent designs. Hopefully their execution keeps improving..... Trying a Summa next... Foresight also looks pretty good.

Don't like Busse too much (design) but I do like the argonne assault one ! If they would make more attractive blades I would be buying !!!

Don't like Spyderco but love the Dialex Junior which was my latest purchase and now my EDC.

Hate SOG, but their Kiku bowie is the bees knees.
Dislike cold steel marketing but their Ti-lite is a great knife.
Hate gerber have an applegate covert folder
Hate CRKT have an M16 folder.

Most of these are cheaper knives that I ended up with during traveling in areas where a nice knife would get confiscated or lost so they were the first bearable knife i found when boots hit the ground.

Cold Steel American Lawman. It's an ugly knife for sure, but after seeing what it can be it's starting to grow on me. Tuffthumbz does some amazing work.

Cold steel American lawman, and holdout series. I can't stand their marketing and thoroughly dislike AUS8 (but the triadlock is sweet, as are the grinds on these two)

Haven't been a fan of Gerber for some years but, the Myth Compact has piqued my interest. Even if the sheath is kinda stupid.

I like my Gerber knives but, I absolutely hate that 90% of their packaging comes with that stupid picture of Bear Grylls.

I like the 154CM Gator and the S30V Freeman Hunter, but Gerber really needs a time machine to take it's production back 40 years.

SOG Fusion Tomahawk. From SOG, obviously. I personally find it disheartening that a military man would endorse them. Most of their stuff is not made here. There are MANY, MADE IN AMERICA, companies that make a better/stronger/more durable product. I know, i know, a mans gotta make a living & i give him kudohs for that. I just wish he would have picked a better company, thats all. I'm just sayin.

It's still an American company, that pays taxes here. It could be much worse.
Plus, Taiwan's mass manufacturing is just as good as ours. It's up to the clients to decide the quality of materials and fit and finish of the end product.
As consumers we have the right to demand what we want from companies.
Just don't expect to get it, unless everyone else wants and does the same.

Hate gerber, but I love the Gerber/Hinderer Firestorm...great blade & great price...plus I modded mine (pics in the tinkering/embelishment forum)
