New GEC #13 Congress series (Clerk, Speaker Jack and Whip)

Oh boy, I was hoping for a whittler with the 13. Thank you GEC!

Production schedule is up with the added addition of a whittler.

Great post. Thanks Alan.

Oh the choices... I want to go with a whittler in stag and a clerk in ebony. Then again, I want something one in tiduoette trim, but I hate gambling on bone.
Do I go with two safe bets or gamble with bone?
Regardless I am really stoked about this run, and the whittler was just icing on the cake! I don't think I've ever been this excited about a GEC run before.

I thought the two referred to the number of blades not springs. I could very well be wrong.

You are correct; there is no pattern id indicator for springs. By appearances and typical setup, I had assumed single backsprings - but have no confirmation of that.

Any idea of the micarta going to be used on the speaker or whittler?

I passed I just couldn't bring myself to game and it be red micarta or some brass pins. I will maybe regret it if we get nat canvas or burlap micarta but at least at the the bullnose is steel and good micarta.

Thanks Mike. That is good to know.
I went ahead and went with a jigged bone clerk instead of ebony, but I was very happy to see that I misread the description. I was very happy to see that the clerk is actually in smooth bone.
I feel like I had to be pretty close to first in line. I refreshed the page non stop 15 minutes prior to them going live. I had to make sure I didn't miss out on these!
The whittler will be my first ever stag knife. That alone is pretty exciting.

It looks like at least the Roy Humenick SFO Jigged bone will have propeller shields:

I reserved (standby) a smooth bone clerk and stag clerk. If it's the "white" bone like the 74's I'll be very happy. The wait is on.

I'm really excited for these. The 62 Whittler is one of my favorite patterns, I'm hoping to snag a whittler version. Odd blade configuration, but I like it.

Sounds good Mike. At my age I leave myself notes and this way I'll know to put it on my desk, lol. BTW Mike, it seems strange to thank someone for selling me something, but you are the only one to put yourself out with a reserve system and all that entails, so thank you.

That didn't even occur to me. This one could go either way for me...

That's my assumption/guess. You would think they would have to use laser for the "Office Knife" script.

I went with the NF whittler in stag. It will be interesting to see what color choices GEC uses on the covers without specific information.
