Whoa 7 or 8 would be impossible for me, my Rust Red is a 4 or 5.
My rust red and bone are a 4-5. Just the nifebright is brutal.

I agree as I bought my first tradional a while back without having the option of tryingI always have reservations about buying knives without trying them out.
My last GEC 15 stainless clip was about a 7, far heavier than any of my other 15's. It was barely pinchable, but I had no problem opening it with the nail nick (which is unusual for my bad thumb). Spears can present a problem for me, if the pull is too heavy, as they normally can't be pinched open.
