New GEC #14 Boys Knife

I don't see the caption for some reason. Answers my question either way, thank you. The shape of the bone looks interesting on these..

The caption was in the '"whats happening" link, but was missing for the same photo in the "#14 Tidioute Lick Creek Boys knife" link.

I really like that these are barehead and not endcapped. The nifebrite looks pretty cool.

New pics up on GEC website showing cover materials.....the elusive banana bone really exists! My only complaint is there are too many choices for someone on a budget...yikes!
WooHoo! I'm ready for that rotten banana.

I'm glad to see the pen blade is on the pile side. I wish they did this more often and moved the nail nick just a little further back, that way we could turn the secondaries into coping blades. I much prefer a coping blade with the spear main or a clip blade. I don't see the need for a large pen (spear main) and a pen secondary.... with the belly of a clip, I also don't like the redundancy of a secondary with a curved blade, but prefer a flat Cut Off Pen or Coping blade there as well. I'm finally learning what I like..........

I'm with you. I don't see the point in having two near identical blades when you could have two different blade shapes better suited to two different applications.

Exactly!
Aesthetically speaking I think a spear and pen just looks right and very traditional especially on a barlow, but if we are talking about function then I completely agree. For the most part I have limited my purchases to (preferably 2 bladed) knives with a straight edge secondary. Unfortunately they are not as common as I'd like, but fortunately that saves my wallet from a lot of extra purchases.
Having said all that, these new barlows came out GREAT!!!! I love each and every cover that I've seen, but those sawcut bones are especially gorgeous!

They are indeed starting to ship this week! I believe the RR bone and the Nifebrite are inbound. No need to reserve these, as there will be PLENTY to go around. There are also a bunch of sfo's, limited to 100 per dealer. Most opted for 50 single and 50 double bladers, I imagine.

DON'T PANIC!!!!! ;)

Just saw the yellow bone on GEC's site, looks REALLY nice!

I had a couple nephews graduate this month, guess what they will be receiving :D

There's 3-4 threads with pics/info about the 14's... I'm posting this here because I've spent most of my (#14) time in this thread. Just got these today - After reading a couple other posts I was worried about the size. This is the perfect size for a small knife for me... I'm sure all the #14's are going to be well received.

Nice bit of Ragg on your Black Cherry there! Really like that yellow bone, too. Can't wait for mine to show up.

Hope this doesn't break any rules but here goes. For those of you wanting an accessory for your 14 TC Barlows, how about this?
