Would you have preferred Ti? Because I bet once they sell a boatload of these in aluminum they will offer a Ti model for an additional fee....

If you zoom into the pics of the cross-bar lock it looks like there is some kind of stainless steel liner/housing around the lock mechanism. I think that is pretty standard for cross-bar locks, at least in my experience with Benchmade and Hogue knives. It would make sense for Buck to follow suit, but I suppose we won't know unless someone scores one at Blade Show and posts their thoughts.
