When Benchmade released the Crooked River model, I thought it was a direct shot across the bow at the big clip point folder king. Bucks chance to return fire and bring it back with the crossbar lock and maybe some ebony or Dymondwood scales and a bolster. Bring it in cheaper than the Benchmade (not hard to do) and it’s a hit!

In my experience Bucks “coming soon” will be November. Plenty of time to prepare!
 
Wow! That gray on the handle looks so nice with the ebony scales....I do not need another 110...I do not need another 110....I do not need another 110.......
 
I was thinking back when they came out with the Range that a 110 and 112 aluminum frame like the sports pro would be nice and with wood inserts. I have the sports pros and I like them a lot so I’m set up to do the task. I’m thinking if I had only waited a little longer but then I wouldn’t have the cool knives I have 😆. Those Macassar ebony scales look great!

I really like the aluminum handles. I have a couple from a previous run years ago, they are so light in the hand. The two in the middle are the aluminum frames.

I dunno. I’m not a fan of thumb studs. Don’t know why but I don’t. :rolleyes:
But I am liking the cross lock. Dunno why.
But I’ll probably get one or two.:oops:

I’m not a thumb stud fan either, with the crossbar lock and being able to take it apart, clean it and polish the surfaces, opening should be easy even if I find the thumb stud awkward. I have a range knife with crossbar lock and it’s easy to open.
 
I'm looking forward to this issue. One reason is I'm hoping the inlays will be able to be used on other take-a-parts. However looking more closely at these I think the bolsters are larger/wider. So, I'm wondering if the length of these will be longer than regular 100/112 and/or the inlays will be different size and not work on other T-A-Ps🤔
