New great "Navy" brand Knife - is it a copy of a Spyderco? See Pic.

I mean, why would they respect the round hole thing, when reputed American companies don't do it? I guess this is the reason they also use the Axis-lock, to make it even...

Oh no you didn't!

LOL.

As far as the OP is concerned, the knife doesn't really look like any Spyderco I'm familiar with. The hole, blade stop/thumbstud, and apparently flipper is an odd combination.

It's not clear where exactly Navy, Bee and SRM knives originate, other than China, or what kind of relationship the brands have with each other, if any. They do seem to exist in the US as greymarket items, which I'll venture to guess suits their manufacturers, sellers, and customers just fine for the time being.

Since this thread morphed into soapbox time, I support copies. I support good knives, regardless the country of origin. If that makes you angry, that's fine, too, because I also support you buying me the genuine article, if how I spend my money causes such offense.

FYI, I have never read anywhere that Sanrenmu and Navy are the same company.
It is true that some Spydercos/Byrds are made by Sanrenmu (don't know exactly which ones). They also make the lovable Buck Nobleman, at least one Magnum and an entry level Fox - if you hunt on internet then you can find these as well with the Sanrenmu brand.
Regarding Navy, I have 3 of them, not one of the Spyderco copies. I have 2 original ones, and the Bladetech Hunter Lite - this Bladetech is made in China and it seems that Navy is the producer. It is indeed exactly the same.
All these knives are normally only for sale within China, and yet thanks to the internet knife collectors in the west can sample them as well.

does look like a steve ryan Vorpal Gator, but certainly not a "clone" (now the fake "military" I wouldn't buy, i think)

I don't think SRM and Navy are the same brand

just because they're both Chinese doesn't mean they're one and the same
